The harbour is coming along very nicely. The stone in the enteance could stay or go, I'm not bothered. I think that some farms along side the canal would look nice in the sense that you said about the clear edged water. I wouldn't want the farms to take up too much of the forest land but it would also make sense in real world for irrigation and stuff. There are many lighting options now for you to use. Excellent series.

2 mods that made our canals in valheim a 100 times easier to build was valheim diving (making deeper canals) and the build camera. The build camera allowed us to build a corewood pole grid under the ground, which we the pick axed our way down to with diving. Sweet project you made
@Orwrath20102 жыл бұрын

I agree with you - the canal should have a natural floor. Save that stone for the build.
@jujuUK682 жыл бұрын
I lile the the canal footpaths. They'd look better if they were edged by bushes and or fences - to make the pavements "stand out", and perhaps with core wood seating logs every few yards, perhaps with torches illuminating the way. - And perhaps the inner top edge of the canal with wood beams? A few banners along the route in - and closer to the base, piles of stone and wood to make it loom more a "working" canal basin. And warehouses, definately some warehouses. And the far entrance - some big entry pillars with burning bonfires - or possibly just torches, but make sure you have red for port and green torches for starboard (port is left, as you sail out). The stone floor was a good sounding idea but in practice, it doesn't quite work, does it?

Really enjoying this series. :) For farming next time, do yourself a favor and add the Mass Farming mod that's on your list. I'm not sure if it's compatible with he replanting mod, but it makes farming convenient enough that I haven't felt the need for auto-replanting since I started using it, and the mass-picking feature is the best - every time you showed yourself harvesting in this series I'm like: man, you're in for a treat when you get this mod. It's simple but makes a huge difference: hold shift with the cultivator to plant a 5 x 5 grid of things in one go (this bit only works with regular farmables not the stuff added by Plant Everything), and - even better - hold shift while you press E to pick a thing and it will pick all the instances of that thing in an area around you (which works with everything).

I recently discovered the mods : Epic valheim additions, forgotten biomes/doordie monsters and biomes (which all add new monsters and materials to mistlands, ashlands and deepnorth + regular biomes), a mod for extra raids which is called something raids (i c ant remember) , OdinsArchictecture ( for lots of buildings, with trap doors, elevators , etc) , hugh’s armory or hugo’s armory (for new weapons like greatswords which are dope) and dual wielding (which allows 2 of same 1 hand weapon to be equipped while using double stamina and gaining double exp) You should check them out and see if they are to your liking I was quite sceptical about magic overhaul and epicloot but, with creature level control mod (which adds extra stars, effects and elemental inffusions to creatures and bosses), these mods are also incredibly fun!

As clean as the stone harbor floor looks, harbors are just simply not clean. There will always be that layer of muddy sediment that covers anything up in little time. Also, I know it's already inland so it defeats the purpose, but (entertain me for a bit) a bonfire-lit lighthouse, or a garden framed by stone columns and arches (mostly greco-roman feels there) standing at the central intersection of the harbor could be really cool.
