"It's completely opposite to the anime" correct, because the anime flanderized pretty much every DR1 and 2 Character while ruining the existing charactarizations and plotpoints of the previous 2 games Mukuro Is one of the biggest victims of it, with her THH and novel charactarization just...not existing in the anime, replaced by a bland junko sidekick who is a little too much into her (in a Alabama way)

I always thought that that was an extremely awful choice to not flesh her out even in these "just for fun school scenarios" when they clearly had the means to do so already via Dangan If, but now you've clarified it to me, thank you.

This isn't even true, I don't know what you're talking about. Mukuro was, before Hope's Peak, consumed by Ultimate Despair. Junko had completely taken over her, in the same way people assumed she had the Remnants of Despair. It was only meeting and interacting with Makoto, the Ultimate Hope, that managed to free her from that despair and make her question what she was doing. She is the way she is in the anime because she's not free. The same is true of the Ultimate Talent Development Plan and Summer Camp universe. Granted, it's a little less forgiveable there, because she should have been with Makoto long enough before the end of the route... but also changing a character half way through based on interactions that may or may not happen, I get it. And about Junko being "lazy", she has always been if something doesn't interest her. The Remnants of Despair, minus Izuru, were just more people for her to use towards an end, so she brainwashed them like the reserve course students in 0. For those she actually cared about? Matsuda, Mukuro, the supposed "Ultimate Hope" that Hope's Peak were making, and her classmates? She puts in the effort for the sake of her own despair.

liked and subscribed! this is a really interesting video. this is a concept where i think it would have been VERY easy for it to be boring, because it's not too-too hard (especially with later chapters--chapter 1 is the hardest, for sure, but people using skills of the chapter 2 deaths and onwards isn't too hard). however, that's not to say this video is bad! quite the opposite, actually; i think that your pacing, commentary, and showing off the skills and how useful they actually are makes the video a lot better than i was expecting. i really look forwards to seeing more of these

This makes me realized why i liked the first game more than the rest, because i casually finished both leon and mukuro events (cause i liked both of them) and i remember that i equipped leon skill and having lots of fun playing the game, i also remembering feeling a bit down after playing DR2 because the shot was way slower than freaking leon skill😭😭 And now i realize that the first game have a better gimmick because the skills do actually affects the the gameplay while in DR2/DRv3 you can easily finished the game without any of the skills

I did this thing for V3 saving after spending time with a student, then going to chapter select and start from Free Time and repeat. I must command you, though, DR 1 doesn't have an option to start a chapter from FTEs, the dedication is great

Ah, you mean the way I actually play Danganronpa on repeat playthroughs. XD It really sucks for DR1 in particular since the game doesn't register a chapter completion save until the full chapter is complete. I think V3 fixed that issue, but I'm not completely sure. And looking at the rules you put in place for this, I think the other two might actually be impossible for reasons.

Couldn’t you make a save at the start of the free time events so you don’t have to go through the entire prologue or something

I'm assuming the game keeps track of data in two ways, persistent data (sticks through saves) and non-persistent (save unique), every free time event done is persistent data, so they're gonna stay even if you reset, like a NG+ and such, here's the issue, loading a save resets relationships to the data you had at the time saved, so if you had relationship level 5, but your last save was on level 4, it'd just mean loading the save would reset your progress for that run, but say, if you instead began from the prologue, you didn't load a save, the persistent data isn't reset, and that's why this works.

Ooh, my bad then there are 2 answers: 1) You technically can max all of them in Chapter 1. Literally All of them are available, even Byakuya & Kyoko. The devs originally just never expected anyone to be mad enough to keep reloading the game to keep hanging out with them, lmao (Also probably why in 2 & V3 that there are more social link ranks since they realized that ok some *just might* do it + school mode is now a thing) 2) That being said, on *how* I'll be going about it, I still haven't gotten to the nitty gritty but from the top of my head it'll be: Chpt 1 - 3 maxed Chpt 2 - 2 maxed 3 - 3 4 - 1 5 - 4 (all the surviving cast) So right now, I imagine the final stretch will be the longest video

When he resets the chapter, the social ranks are not erased, meaning that they can stack up and making it possible to reach rank 10 with everybody

Hey all~ Late to this section, but yup @dyanzlol is right, if you make a save AFTER doing a social link then go back again using the same save file, then the Social link progress (& gifts) carry over... so we gotta repeat the game multiple times... it's quite draining to keep going back 😵😅 (Im alright tho, I can push through + easier now that I got so much support) You're intended to Max them out at the bonus School mode so that you don't have any time limits & restrictions ...but we're doing it the hardest & most tragic way possible! : D
