Organic Chemistry was an Easy course for me because my professor started the class with a crash course on Basic Chemistry and worked his way up. He provided the class with great memory tricks, study guides and extensive amount of Homework, Practice Questions, and Quizzes prior to Exam day in order to ensure we understood the information as if we’re teaching the subject to others. Everyone in my class passed with at least an A- average.

I am currently in Statistics. I am not a math lover. However, I am giving it my all!!! I want a "B" out of this class. I have a really good instructor-he gives extra practice in class reviews and study guides. I just do not enjoy the knowing what formula goes with what type of problems. However, I am a very determined and strong will person, therefore, I will get through this class with the grade I have my mind focused on. I am also in Anatomy/Physiology 1, and I am doing great!! A/B. Sarah and Ben, I have subscribed to your channel. I find it VERY useful, accommodating, and most resourceful!! Please keep it up!!CW, future RN

+Nurse CW Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment, CW. Also, thank you very much for subscribing :) Yes, Statistics was not my favorite class. I too didn't enjoy the whole formula thing. I am not a math person and I enjoy science better, especially science that deals with the human body. I was glad to know there wasn't any statistics in nursing school haha. I wish you the best this semester and I know you are probably looking forward to the winter break. Thanks again for watching our videos and your kind comment :) -Sarah

I'm taking microbiology right now and i absolutely hate it! its by far the most difficult class i have taken in college.
@RegisteredNurseRN9 жыл бұрын
+Phylicia S Yeah, I thought it was a medium class (not the hardest or easiest), but I had a great professor who was good about telling us what was going to be on the test..that helps a lot. I thought A & P was a lot harder but it totally depends about your teachers and their exams. Thanks for sharing +Andry Hernandez & +Phylicia S....great input :) -Sarah

My school arranges microbiology (theory and lab) along with med surg (lab, clinicals and theory) all together over a 12 week period. I tried doing it all last quarter, then right around the drop date I knew there was no way I could pass it all. It made so much more sense to separate the classes so I wouldnt be paying for the same class twice. Thank God I made that decision. I passed micro when a lot of people failed and now this quarter I can Pour all my energy into med surg. Just wanted to put my two cents in and say thank you so much! I always go straight to ur KZbin videos to help me conceptualize.

+Shannon Benson Thank you so much for sharing this experience, Shannon. Yes, you definitely made a great choice about switching it like that. Micro is one of those hard classes and taking that with medical surgical is crazy! Congrats on passing Micro :) Thank you for always coming to our videos....that is awesome and I appreciate it! Best wishes in school and I hope my channel continues to help you on your journey! (-Sarah)

It all depends on what you love!! My hardest class was British Literature. I HATED interpreting Elizabethan Pros, Poetry, Iambic Pentameter, Writing a critical analysis of something I hated, Lol! It was painful and time consuming during Nursing School to read Shakespeare’s Work, and try to put sense to something that bored me. My professor was passionate about the material, and a stickler for APA format, but God did I learn to write APA and MLA format papers😜 A&P I and II and A&P Lab A and B, 4.0! British Lit,... 3.0 I LOVED Chemistry, MicroBiology, (Abnormal)Psychology, Pharmacology, and even took a an advances Public Health Class that allowed me to get some Tropical Medicine Experience in Mozambique/Tanzania over the summer. While there, I got to Audit a Zoology Class at Night from Oxford, via Satellite, which was amazing help for micro secondary to Parasites.

for me fundamentals was the hardest course, I think just because it was the first actual nursing course I had after all prerequisites and nursing classes just require a different method of studying which I had to figure out. Currently in critical care and will have my BSN in a couple months :)

absolutely love your channel and have found it extremely helpful. just dropped a combo AP1&2, 7 week course (for each) today! way too much precious info going at lightening speed. Even if I wasn't a.mother of three running a pt biz I would still find it extremely difficult to pass. Going the BSN route has allowed me to pace myself through the science courses. One per semester...there is no race to my RN..slow and steady wins the race! An option for folks who aren't in a rush and want to apply themselves fully. I already have a BS in Metal Health...hope that comes in handy😁
@RegisteredNurseRN8 жыл бұрын
+Jennifer klein Thank you so much for your comment, Jennifer! Wow, yeah I would have dropped it too. It is way to hard to take a class where they cover too much material in a short amount of time....there is really no way a student can pass a class like this and gain a full understanding of what they learned. I agree with you and think it is best to pace yourself so you can really learn the material. I wish you the best in obtaining your BSN :) I hope my channel can be a resource for you during your studies! (-Sarah)

currently finishing up my prereqs at a CC, i have one semester left just about, so far the hardest class for me has been microbiology, luckily i finished with an 86% but it was a grind, i have stand alone physiology next semester and i’ve heard by some that it’s harder and by others that it’s easier, hoping for the best

@RegisteredNurseRN9 жыл бұрын
+Ashley D. Absolutely, Ashley! I would love to do this video for you. The key to mental health nursing is to know what type of material you have to study and what you should do as the nurse. I will cover this in the video. Great request :) -Sarah

I start nursing fall 2021, and I’m taking foundation of nursing, microbiology, and math dosage. I had at least two students tell me that I shouldn’t take microbiology with foundation of nursing, is or was that a bad idea?
@chirish869 жыл бұрын
Anatomy 1 for prereqs was tough, part 2 was Physiology which I love. It was challenging, but did well because of legit interest. I will agree Patho and Pharm are traditional the toughest for most students mostly because there usually the first nursing classes you take and its content dense. Though med surg (adult health) is no joke either, its the bread and butter of everything nursing.
@RegisteredNurseRN9 жыл бұрын
+Matt O'Brien Thank you so much for adding your insight, Matt. I know other students will find it helpful. I totally agree with you about Medical Surgical being tough and that it is the bread and butter of everything. Many students struggle with that course...exams are tough due to their NCLEX style questions and all the material is built upon Patho, pharm, fundamentals (memorizing material won't help you anymore...you must fully comprehend it) etc. Thanks again for taking the time to comment...much appreciated. -Sarah

Microbiology is definitely one of the hardest. But it’s variable. Bad schools like Fortis College don’t require students in their microbiology class to even look through a microscope (SMH). As opposed to University microbiology where you make agar plates, perform test tube experiments, and the entire class is essentially done under the lens of a microscope. Extreme variations. The NCSBN should tighten the education standards for classes like these and hold these horrible colleges like Fortis accountable.

I’m about to start a R.N. program from fortis 😭😭 so is it the things your studying that’s hard or the study load ? Or is it the school in general?

Is it smart to take nutrition during the summer semester or ap 1?
@567swim4 жыл бұрын
Julie Voelkel In my opinion, you will be fine taking nutrition over the summer. That was a pretty easy class for me. As for ap1, I’d recommend if you take that, to take it by itself. I struggled a ton with my 8 week a&p1 (ended with a low C) and ended up retaking it and got an A. I don’t recommend a fast paced course like this one in 8 weeks, but it doesn’t hurt to try. I have a pretty solid memory and I really struggled still with ap1. In my opinion, ap2 is much easier because you have an idea of how to study and know what is important. So, to answer your question, I would totally take nutrition over the summer. I thought that class was extremely easy and maybe even reachable to get an A by taking it online. As for anatomy, I would take a session that is longer than 8 weeks, especially if you have not had a class like this before. I hope this helps!

I took medical micro and I really liked it! I personally don't think it was much harder than A&P. For me there was more busy work in micro but that might've just been my teacher. ( I had the same prof in app and micro but she assigned us to write out our labs by hand for micro). Good luck!!

I'm trying to take microbiology and A&P 1 together is that a good idea?
@RegisteredNurseRN9 жыл бұрын
+SEXYWIFEY17 Great question! It depends on how hard your professors will be. I would check their ratings on ratemyprofessor.com and if they both have a good rating I would take them together (but not on the same day...this will hopefully eliminate you having an exam on the same day). A lot of people take micro and A & P together and do fine but just make sure you are getting a good teacher. I hope that helps! -Ben

I took precalculus, organic chemistry, A&P 2, and critical thinking all at one time. I passed with a 3.2 that semester. The problem is, I gained a lot of weight and I had no social life because I stayed up all night studying that semester. It will be tough but its achievable

I’m in cc and dropped AnP2 last semester and couldn’t take it over summer bc it interfered with work. I got into my nursing program and found the hesi to be fair. I still kind of scared to take AnP again. Should I take AnP with fundamentals of nursing or second semester with Ob and Pych nursing? I’ll take microbiology in the summer.

I dont think so. You have to take a criminal background check to even be considered for nursing school. If you can't pass that, they wont allow you in. Look at getting those things expunged. Most states allow it.
