some tips for those who want to beat no lockers - no lockers requires extremely good rng (good luck beating it in less than 50 attempts) - you can hide in the room with the green pipe that you have to crawl through against everything except pandemonium - you will grow to hate the lots of pipes section, pipe floor section, and left side filled with water section - first encounter with stupid orange fish isnt a lot harder - no angler variants or pandemonium will spawn if the recently opened room and the room before it has no active lights (before 100 ofc) - hate pandemonium - only 1 pandemonium can spawn after floor 100, you can wait it out similar to what he did at 34:15 - the angler can VERY RARELY chase after you similarly to pandemonium - frogger only returns once, guaranteed - room 101-115 commonly has spacious rooms to help you avoid anglers but you can still get out-RNG'd -you get it once you pass room 115, not after you beat the final boss

For me it’s that I start feeling immense amounts of pressure on my chest, like anxiety. This causes me to have not only a harder time thinking/breathing, but also reacting. It’s like a static cloud in my head that forms when I get far enough into a run. The pressure (pun not intended) of trying to lock in when I’m in a good run causes me to fumble.

Small tip during the Ending Encounter, its almost always better to start off fixing the cables on the surface first as there's only one Searchlight at the time. Doing it later when more Searchlights have arrived would come with more risks. Anyways good fucking run, man

I didn't know the keycards made a static sound before this and that in the ridge the angler spawns are actually based on the rooms you go through, w run.

Well only the first angler is associated with a sound cue as far as I know. You can tell because the music changes a few milliseconds before the lights flicker.

the angler spawns are based on a timer that counts down - when it reaches 0 it spawns a node monster and resets to a random number, every door you open accelerates this timer by cutting off a few seconds. in the ridge, the timer is so low and the amount of time cut off from opening each door is so high that it is very likely it will reach 0 after opening just one door. so ig it's similar to the rooms you go through but not rlly based on it. hope that helps

In the broken saferoom with the overturned forklift, you can actually climb behind the counters and sit behind the forklift, making it a PSS (Pandamonium Safe Spot). Great run man, you've inspired me to give this a try!!

Memorize sound cues, like what each angler makes. Make sure to take notes on what rooms are where. Safe rooms and safe areas are essential to your runs. You may have to gamble sometimes but use your logic and intuition.

@@Zenolithium I suggest waiting for pandemonium to pass by at the start of the ridge safe room to lower the odds of them coming again later in the ridge, when it’s a lot harder to hide from them. Anglers and pan don’t spawn based on when you open a room btw, so just keep camping until pan comes by instead of an angler. Also wall dwellers sound effects for coming out of a wall sound slightly like rain drops. Their footsteps are also usually more loud and sound slightly different compared to yours.

Good video. It made me play the game at 1am and attempt the run. I got to door 49 doing all 3 badges but I was forced into a locker and took damage later on, so I only finished with the no light source badge. Very cool though because I beat the game for the first time along with getting that badge all on my first attempt 😭

The one thing I’d say to do as a editor is to make the dark areas in the video a lil brighter even in a dark room with brightness to max I couldn’t see anything at the end so next time try increasing the brightness afterwards in the editing so the ending isn’t just noise and occasional sounds

A tip for peope doing damageless, if you struggle with the skillchecks or dont want to risk it at the end, just wait it out as the wires repair automatically but slowly, its better with the wires as the generators repair at a sloths pace

i think this is pretty equal to just plain ol' lockerless run is still entirely down to the RNG of getting safe spots, the slight downside of not having lights is almost nothing, and not taking damage just requires paying the minimal amount of attention to not walk into a hazard or fail a skill check, since squiddles won't hit you if you're not using lights anyway. Either way, it's still neat running it on a new account just to see all the badges appear in one run. Neat vid!

@@xN1ckname The downside of having no lights can also mean I can't see safe areas when an angler is coming in a darker room. I also can't take damage from mimics, eyefestation, gas leaks, electrified water, fan blades, and parasites. Also, I did not make a new account for this. If I failed it on my main after completing the +100 doors, I would not attempt to beat it again.

yeah all of that falls under "paying the minimal amount of attention to not walk into a hazard" n' light sources ig can make darker rooms that bit easier, but safe spots in rooms come down to memory most of the time anyway, and you can usually identify the room you're in without a light source just from the beginning bit, it also only really applies to if you get a dark room after a series of rooms with no safe spots, cause usually you want to go backwards every time you open a door for lockerless anyway if you've confirmed a safe spot in your current or previous room. not tryina say what ya accomplished here isn't challenging, i'm just sayin' there's really not a huge difficulty gap between regular lockerless and this. and regular lockerless is still quite difficult dependant on your rng.
