adding to ur comment abt not being a fan of a company: u can like a certain product of a certain company but its not gonna make that company complacent, theyre not gonna make the same product. giving an example, im a huge fan of the rx 6700 xt gpu from amd, i think its subjectively one of the best gpus theyve released in recent years, but thats not gonna make me an amd fanboy 🤷‍♂️

I find the hold your ground mission to be an easy farm for handgun & shotgun ammunition. It's not too bad by the time you have a scoped bolt action or a decently accurate rifle. Just bring plenty of ammo.

@@Venoxium I have not done a merc run in 9.3 yet. Is it all monolith? I miss being able to walk into limansk and hunt them in the early game. The duty one is just bandits. Usually get a veteran/expert or two in the last wave, but mostly low ranks.

Yeah it’s all Monolith but the bad part is they’re all low rank. So you don’t really get anything for it. It’s basically just a way to waste ammo. You don’t even get that much $$$ from it either.

Default Artifact settings. I won't be changing anything for DAO unless GAMMA really fks me hard. To be fair, no one had a problem with CheekiBreeki changing his settings so I'd be fine, but I'd rather try it out on default settings first.

don't know if I fully agree about amd's complacency. Yes zen5("5%") but for example in the 9800x3d they changed so much about that chip's production process that allowed it to be so good. The CPU core die is now on top of the 3d cache die instead of the other way around, significantly decreasing the power/heat limits of the x3d parts. AMD also still uses a lot of open and/or free alternatives instead of propierty closed source nvidia stuff. I agree that corps are never our friends, but AMD is no market leader in either cpu or gpu (maybe gaming cpu's only) so they still get some bonus points for their lack of propietary implementations of things if possible. Yes the X3D was an example I gave of them still innovating but right now AMD isn’t going as hard as they should be. They used to have a ton of budget CPUs and now they have nothing at the low end besides older AM4 parts. And while overall market share for AMD is lower than Intel for CPU’s. The amount of people buying AMD has gone up an insane amount. All the top CPU sales on Amazon are all AMD. There is no Intel whatsoever. Even amongst friends in real life, who don’t know anything about computers are telling other friends that Intel is bad and AMD is good. Especially after the whole 13th and 14th gin issues that Intel is having. There is so much more AMD could be doing but instead they’re going to bask in the good sales and suddenly Intel will topple them again. And while AMD does support the open source community, they don’t do that out of the goodness of their hearts. They typically do it because they have to. FSR would not work as a close source solution like Nvidia DLSS. Don’t get me wrong though, I do love the AMD CPUs. And if I were to upgrade my PC tomorrow, I would 100% try to buy a 9800X3D.

You can have the Life Granter on for Invictus. You just can't die twice. I just set it to 5 days because by Day 5 I should be past the BS which gives me the choice to continue the run if I were to die post BS. Also keep in mind sleeping doesn't count towards the Life Granter. So 5 days is a loooooooong time.

Consoles actually don't make the most money, the PC market right now is bigger than the console market. So GPU manufacturers just suck. (phone is bigger than both combined but that's besides the point)

Where are you seeing that the PC market is bigger than the console market? While the PC market has been growing *faster* than the console market, consoles still have a higher overall market revenue. While there is no data for 2024 yet, in 2023 Console sales generated 53.1 Billion vs. PC at 40.4 Billion. The main point was when it comes to VRAM especially, you want to have the amount the console has or more. Games on Xbox can use up to 12GB specifically for VRAM but it's intended for 10GB to be the max (The Xbox has 10GB on a 320-bit bus with an additional 6GB on a 192-bit bus meant for typical "ram") PS5 is similar except it's just 16GB shared across a 256bit bus (the pro does have 2GB extra for system ram). But overall if you're buying a GPU in the year 2025 and actually wanna play games at or above console settings: You need more VRAM. Nvidia is the main one cheaping out & adding to this problem. VRAM is INSANELY cheap, no card above $300 should have less than 12GB of VRAM. At least Intel did the right thing with the B580 and slapped 12GB on that card for $250.

@@Venoxium I think some of the sources I was looking at were just predictions or used a source that I couldn't access because the website wants me to make an account. Either way, There are way more PC users than console users, So I still think the notion that consoles are essentially hogging all the vram from pc users doesn't really work out. And yea, the B580 is an incredible value card that we haven't seen in the market in years. I hope we see that trend continue with the upcoming launch of the next generation of Nvidia and AMD Graphics cards but I already have a 4070 super so I'll just wait probably a long time before I upgrade anyways. I can't comment on the price of VRAM but if Intel can release a good card for under $250 and 12 gigs of vram it probably isn't that expensive or Intel is subsidizing the cost of their gpu but idk how true that would be.

Play how you want, but I do consider it too powerful. You can basically teleport from anywhere and while the price can be expensive, it'll easily allow you to skip a ton of stuff so I've always considered it too much
