The Hardest Chronom yet in Creeper World 4

Chronom generates a random Creeper World 4 map each day, and today we got an absolute nightmare of a map. Well, the first 90 in game seconds are nightmarish, once you get a terp up and running the map mostly just becomes a grind to win.

So I have to know: you spent a lot of time without a rift lab, no energy, yet it did not seem to bother you. What is the secret?

Energy stored up using the porter and disabling non-essential energy units; I usually leave my base with a 100-400 energy, which if I am only powering defensive weapons and refineries can last up to a few minutes. Once I run out of energy I switch the factory back for the rift lab and restock everything, including stacking up more porter energy for round 2. When assaulting the island and having my base dying every minute, the porter was still dropping energy crates, meaning my base was not completely without power for those 20 second intervals when my lab is dead. However, I think that putting my lab there was a mistake; I should have just replaced the factory with my lab and assaulted the island normally after I had enough platforms.

@@fireswamp3555 So how do you avoid the problem I ran into when trying this -- any time I used porter energy pods in the same tower network, the porter just re-consumes the energy it distributed out.

@@key_bounce I don't fully understand the interaction with pods and Porters, for me Porters usually won't grab energy from their own pods but occasionally they do. In this run I don't think I had that problem, but when it has shown up for me in the past I disable supply on the porter when I switch to using pods for energy.

@@fireswamp3555 Hmm, hypothesis: They will pull from the closest source, so if the pods are on the other side of the rift lab, it will work. Will test later.
