At risk of going full nerd mode, that kinda makes me think of tons of aviators from the past. Specifically the WW2 pilots, white and black and everywhere inbetween. And then people like Chuck Yeager who flew experimental aircrafts with no expectation of survival. The amount of aviators who had to parachute out of their plane, in potential hostile territory, or from a dangerous vehicle...is a ton of heroes. John McCain bailed out of his aircraft during the vietnam war and was tortured in a POW camp... And much of his life was spent repairing the US/Vietnam relations in geopolitics...
