I remember playing Super Hexagon I think about 10 years ago, I loved it so much. This recreation is really faithful to the original, and I find it super impressive. In the original game there's also a mechanic where the playing field would reduce in sides sometimes, becoming a pentagon or a square, and those had different patterns to them too. But nonetheless it is truly amazing to see it remade in GD

Originally, I wanted to add the side changing mechanic, but that would require heavy modifications to the collision and pattern detection system, so I chose not to in the end.

He meant the gameplay has nothing to do with classic GD, and thinking Nexus saying it's hard is more relevant because he's a pro GD player is an authority bias. And also as he mentionned, if you played the original game, this is, rather than easy, nowhere close an extreme demon.

​@@zUkrainak47 for sure, doing this without having ever played or beaten the original super hexagon is extremely difficult and super impressive, especially without being able to quit the level. i recently got 100% in Open Hexagon which is significantly harder than anything in super hexagon, even getting 420s on hexagonest imo because of that i was able to beat this really quickly and even was able to get the coin afterwards on my first attempt, but its entirely because of my past experience i think i would say getting the coin in this is decent bit easier than getting 420s on the first stage of Super Hexagon, so if youve done that before you can definitely get the coin here
