At the end of the day it comes down to what makes the rider smile, and what they can afford. The whole ‘performance’ thing is limitless, and no matter what you, or anyone else does, there will always be people that will question the numbers etc. Therefore, if you’re extremely happy with the way that it looks and performs, then that is all that matters. 😉✌️

So the 131 is twice the HP than my 96ci that I thought was fast enough and wearing out a pair of tyres about every 2 months. I would need a new tyre every couple of weeks if I had the 131. Haha

I just had my streetbob dynoed on Friday 21 model 114 engine Only mods 475 cam upgrade 118hp and 129ft-lbs so I nearly got the same power just by doing the cam upgrade. Mate of mine did the same got 119hp and 128ft-lbs so I wouldn’t be happy spending that kinda money on a 131 to get an extra 8-10hp.

@@FastnCurious I am also never convinced on dyno either it’s amazing how much you can gain or lose in Hp depending on the shop I think I might of been on a happy dyno and I think it would be more around the 112-115hp mark. But you are right it’s all about the setup not just big power. No point having 200hp and a shit drivetrain to put the power down. Love the ST mate

Hey Dave my sincere apologies (hahah) yeah on the run ride to Dubbo it was running 4.3L/100km so not bad at all. Should still be able to pull high 300’s to early 400km per tank id say. 👍💥

Thanks for the info Deano. The conservative tuning along with a warranty will upset some of the HP chasers. Yes the 131 can produce greater numbers, but remember the dealer / MoCo warranty this kit / build. More than enough HP and TQ for touring. Enjoy it mate.

I got 21 fat boy with 114 stage 2 and custom tune 121hp I thought 131 would see at least 130hp range

I thought the 117 stage 2 would or produced more then 104hp . i have the 2022 sport glide 107 stage 2 with the following work done / 475 s&s cam / 55mm se intake / s&s lifters and tappet cuffs/ se camplate and oil pump / se pushrods/ V&H propipe and Rouge air cleaner/trask vented trans cover....fitted and dnyo by iron heart ..... getting 105.2bhp and 108.4 ft.lbs....

Good numbers (approx. 124hp & approx. 125 ft.Lbs. torque) at the wheel. HP number is actually good compared to a few 131 "Warranty Builds" that I've seen here on KZbin. Recent video I watched, 2022 RGS with a warranty build 131 kit, dyno'd at 118hp and 132 ft.lbs. torque at the wheel. Interesting that your build showed 124hp (6 more hp) but less torque (125 versus 132), about 7 ft.lbs. less. I'm thinking it's possibly due to timing fluctuations and/or how the cam is installed (?); possibly installed slightly advanced or retarded a few degrees. Another more likely item could be differences in slip-on mufflers, as I believe both builds used the HD supplied headpipe for a 2-1-2 system. Hmm. I really don't care about hp as I have plenty of torque and HP that I want from my ST. But it doesn't look that impressive as far as numbers go. Price vs performance isnt there. Stock ST is 107hp vs 125hp? And torque is about the same. That doesn't sound impressive. I think 131 should be putting out better numbers than this.

Something not right your bike should be putting out a bit more then than ... you should be in the 130+ tq

The claimed horsepower is 121.62 at the rear wheel so we’re punching a little better than that at 123.75. See Cycleworld article. That’s “stock” 131 upgrade without voiding warranties with HD etc. www.cycleworld.com/story/motorcycle-reviews/harley-davidson-131-performance-review/

@@FastnCurious yeh okz I did a 131 kit with out doing any thing to the head on a 114 so I gues u could say it a stage 3 ... 131 ... its putting out 140tq and 127hp ... I'm about to install a se 55mm ported intake manifold... they a 2 to 4 % gain ... I just thought a stage 4 kit 131 shout be putting out a bit more then mine ... what tuner did you use the screaming eagle pro
