Metrack drop kick is a good skill, but kicking enemies heads was the most important skill for me in my first playthrough. I made the mistake to play it on Nightmare the first time and it was fucking insane difficult :D

The Wandering Dovahkiin have you seen how fast and strong tanks are? The only one I see standing a chance is the hunter from the multiplayer and that’s a slim chance. Best they can take on is the charger, jockey and bloater. Witch will also one shot them pretty easily.

Actually, I found another way to easily deal with Volatiles. Just lead a huge swarm of them to the nearest body of water and allow them to fall in after you. It kills them instantly and it's a good way to grind for experience until day breaks. Anyways, great video about a very well crafted game. I look forward to more from you, my good sir. Cheers!

My first night fall was creepy as hell. Experiencing it for the first literally had me on the edge of my seat panicking frantically. That shit was so cool, everyone one on the radio warning me to get to a safe zone. The raw part was if I remember correctly, it happened during a supply drop that the base needed desperately. Awesome.

How are the origins up for debate? The GRE made the virus. They were going to sell it to the highest bidder. The base game literally explains this. Not only that but The Following introduces an ingestible version that was made by the GRE for testing. If you can't deduce the origins from just the dialouge, take a look at the biggest context clue. The GRE doesnt want to bomb Harran as long as there is a possible cure because they have to save face seeing as they are the primary suspect. And dont come at me with "well you just said they are the suspect", yeah to the rest of the world; the in-game dialouge proves them guilty.

Dydrono I don’t remember that GRE made the virus. The file that GRE trying to recover only state that they are going to weaponize the existing virus. Meaning that the virus might existed before GRE trying to weaponize it.

Great description of the game's antagonists, though you forgot to mention one of my favorites: Bolters. Waiting til night to find one, sneaking up on one, getting the kill before it bolts (hence the name) all the while trying to hide from Volatiles is just friggin heart-pounding.

Some more info about dying light: the reason people know parkour is because their leader came to Harran to spread his parkour classes, the community it great and is constantly willing to help you and give weapons, the devs still update the game with free dlc since 2015, Breken, the leader, in the game goes on a mission that goes horribly wrong. You can see this mission play out in the run boy run trailer for the game.

I wonder if anyone has done an in depth analysis as to what the modern zombie represents at an archetypical level. I mean there’s no denying that zombies are popular anf thryveveven transcended to other genres including sci-fi (the Borg, Zerg), comedy (zombie land, Shawn of the dead) and even a few romance movies here and there so zombies are clearly speaking to some deep part of our psyche.

Milbox R that may be part of it but the zombie motif always has the living vs dead component going on which I’d argue is the crux of the whole thing. You can certainly extract a whole list of things out of that ranging from religous, political, relationship, etc. and I don’t think any one of them would be wrong but to me each one separately feels incomplete, so I think it’s speaking to a baser level.

I think the reason it's so attractive is because of a blending of a few but powerful things. One:The will to survive and to do *anything* to keep on living. Two:How predictable a zombie confrontation could be yet somehow goes completely sometimes. Three:The fact that they don't need to sleep or even eat but just eat and eat because they can. There's definitely more I've left out but that's just because I can't think of them.

I just recently bought the enhanced edition of Dying Light on Steam for sale, with tax it was almost $20 but yea, I haven't really heard of this game, till a few days ago when I was on steam and saw it on sale. I looked into it and liked what I saw and bought it. And I enjoy this game alot.

Critical-RAGE The Mother is a sentient Volatile through drinking that liquid(The Following) during daytime she's in control of herself but once the sun sets her instincts take over and the Alpha Volatiles (I assume that's what you mean with big nightmare) are basically more evolved Volatiles :)

I just recently got this game and damn, is it fun. It’s best to travel night though if you really want an experience. Running at night away from a pack of volatiles, your flashlight barely lighting up the path ahead of you and you hoping your next jump leads to another building instead of a collapsible roof or deadly fall is a great feeling

I remember I used to go to the bridge to farm exp after you get the ability to disguise your scent (I'd just go around and literally break every zombies neck while covered in zombie guts) and one time, as the sun was going down. I was standing on top of a truck or something and I noticed all the zombies on the bridge turned simultaneously towards the setting sun and just stared at it. This only ever happened to me once and it was really freaking creepy.

Not possible. There is a limit to the damage you can get through legend rank and there is definitely no rank that can give that much. Only cheated weapons have that. Same as that idiots parading their 20k damage shotgun when the devs nerfed the legend rank to give a Maximum of 8k damage

They are just genetic variations like the rest :) There are like 20 different mutations and I couldnt cover them all as the video would be too long and would be off topic from the virus itself :)

Dark sun Screamers are infected Children that are in a constant state of fear, presumably cuz a childs brain isn't as developed as the adult brain or it's just a bait. I personally prefer the first one

You forgot to mention the Screamers. They were the small infected child with the ability to scream and causes more distraction for the survivor.
