Data Science is literally the most welcoming, flexible and complex field imo, all you really need is domain knowledge or a specialization that'll act like an anchor keeping you from losing focus (sort of like a north light). It's like entering an endless candy shop where you can have any type of candy your heart desires without being told what, where, which or how to start eating, all you're told is that it's candy of all shapes, sizes and flavors, so knowing that you prefer chocolate will give you direction and if you discover that you love that new lemon flavor candy along the way then go for it, lol, cool vid btw.

Can you make a video on data scientist interview process? Did you get tested on probability & stats along with coding? etc

Yeah sure I can make a video on it in the future! Interviews differ, but yes sometimes you got asked stats questions and there will be some coding exercise as well.

Hey, yeah I edit and do everything myself! I use Final Cut Pro, it's fairly easy to get the hang of it after a few videos!

Hard question to answer, what do you mean by intermediate and what is your background?

I’m not sure what you mean by intermediate level. It takes years, and you are still always learning. Typical data scientists spend 4 years in undergraduate doing a technical discipline, and then go on to get a masters degree. In the mean time, the students spend every summer applying their knowledge in internships. Nowadays these students struggle to find work and they’re probably beyond “intermediate.” Do you think spending 3 hrs a day for 1 year will get you to the level of a student who studies 6 years and is still considered too “intermediate” to be hired by industry? Data science is not a get rich quick scheme. If you actually like the discipline, study it, and stop asking how long it takes. If you’re doing it for the money… don’t. Data science wages are starting to go downhill. Half the industry is being laid off because of charlatans that think spending a year on attaining surface level knowledge on highly technical subjects entitles them to 6 figures and then produce nothing useful to the business.
