As a pretty new SK fan that didn’t quiiiite care for Black Friday it is AWESOME to have something as structurally sound as NPMD to close the trilogy. TGWDLM was like the weirdest and most idiosyncratic structure a musical could possibly have that somehow still worked to support its own weight, so it’s an experience like nothing else… but NPMD is just a good foundation. Song placement, topics, the weaving of plot lines, it’s arguably the most natural of the trilogy. GOD THESE LUNATICS ARE SO GOOD AND GRACE CHASTITY IS MY ENTIRE BRAIN

I think a lot of people just assume its a trilogy when they never said the hatchetfield story ends with npmd (according to tv tropes under "God never said that")? I think they have a lot more to explore with the Lords in Black anyway, or at least they'll keep doing Nightmare Time until they reach a conclusion they're happy with.
