We finally get to see the character in your pfp. And the beginning, I get it. Just because a computer is involved, parents assume what you're doing is nothing. As for the father, people like him are the reason why invisible disabilities suck, just cause you can't see it doesn't mean it's not bloody there. Fortunately I only heard of that one second hand, but as someone with plant allergies who used to have them treated as "just a little cold", I get it. (Ok, my allergies were regularly misdiagnosed back then but still...)

The dad doesn’t hate Starla, he does care for her, he’s just picking favourites between his daughters and Starla being cold towards her dad is understandable, she gets treated a bit differently than Nova, since she is given presents and tons of attention and Starla gets given so little, I feel like this movie should be called “the favourite child”. I like how Nova didn’t treat her sister horribly and wasn’t spoiled, she still maintain a kind and fun living personality towards her dad and sister, and I’m happy that the dad made amends with Starla at the end.
