This is about my family from Sonora/Arizona my great grandfather's dad survived this. We also got mixed with native blood a generation after.

Dustin The finder of the ore claimed it was from the massacre but it was not found at the supposed massacre grounds but several miles away. I saw and examined the small ore sample that was loaned and put on display at the museum. I have also seen the matchbox made from the ore that came from under the Dutchman’s bed when he died. I laughed because there was not the slightest comparison between the two. I personally believe that what they found and what they claimed it was was not Dutchman gold. There are those that even to this day claim that ore and the Dutchman ore come form the same mine, I simply do not believe it.

I would imagine ten's of thousands of men or more have lost their lives in the unquenchable thirst for gold over the centuries. One of the lures of gold that make me want to acquire it myself.

Do y'all have any history or information about the bloody tanks massacre ? Was it in the superstitions or closer to Miami area? Information on this would too make a great video. Thank you for all the great history of this area love the videos

I have loaned out my copy of “The last bugle call” the history of Fort McDowell, in which the bloody tanks battle took place near Fish Creek and more precise at the present day Tortilla Ranch (abandoned) which is reached just before going down Fish Creek Hill, not Miami.
