In for a ride. This is hands down my favorite ghost story ever. The fact that it's a 10 episode show gives it room to breathe and develop. It's also a fully realized family drama, with characters that are much more fully fleshed out again thanks to the time it takes. It's legitimately scary, tragic, sad. Oh, and it'll make you cry.

One of the best horror based TV series ever in my opinion. Its based on novel of the same name by Shirley Jackson. The follow up Netflix series by Mike Flannigan are all worth a looking. Having said that The Haunting of Bly Manor is "different" ghost story based on the writings of Henry James.

When this was on my friends could not stop talking about how good it was but I am RUBBISH when it comes to horror 😂 As I love your reactions I'd actually decided to watch you watching this as a way of baby stepping myself into the horror genre 😅 So your introduction made me feel a lot better. And who knows, as you move through the series I might pluck up the courage to watch an episode before watching your reaction, which is what I normally do. We shall see! Great episode as always ❤

This is a phenomenal series, not a word or scene wasted. The face Luke drew in the playhouse was the face that Nell made to older Hugh in the bed and at the end of the show to Steve. Easter Egg: young Hugh is played by Henry Thomas. He played Elliot in the movie E.T., Luke keeps his crayons in an E.T. lunchbox.
