Wow. You went local at Lak Si. Its a good 30-40 min drive to central Bangkok. I live at True Digital Park on the Sukhumvit BTS line.

I love both Bangkok and BGC. Unless saving money is the priority, not sure if I'd leave BGC. Thailand is fun, but BGC is such a cool base to operate from. Didn't you have a girl there as well?

I did. BGC is great, it just got too small after being there almost 3 years. I love Bangkok and Thailand so I'll make that my new home base. Plus it's less expensive and better infrastructure. Not to mention the food.

​​@@JJthelonelybullinasia the food may be more affordable and accessible because it has a street food culture but I don't believe it has better food. Philippines offers all types of dishes. In fact, it holds the world record for most number of pork dishes. Noodle dish is not even considered as a proper meal in the Philippines. It's just desert. Just like how pizzas are considered as such or "merienda". But good for you. We don't like expats who's just girl hunting. 😊

@JJthelonelybullinasia Maybe I'm wrong about that but in terms of food, I don't think Thailand has even close to a buffet restaurant that serves ALL types of quality dishes, foreign and local, for a mere 17 dollars only. That's even with a delicious home made pizza and freshly cooked Lechon. 😊
