Experienced the Canadian Brass at WIBC in Seattle last year and they were amazing. Met Achilles briefly and then Caleb and Chris spent some quality time talking with my son (Trumpet player) which was amazingly cool. Hope to get up there this year to hear/see you!

Yes all of these trombonists are fantastic and deserve much praise. But we should also acknowledge all the hours of editing this took. Thanks Christopher for committing so much time and energy for videos like this. It really shows and is well worth the effort. Please keep doing what you're doing.

Congrats on putting together such an assembly of great t-bone players. I can't imagine how much work it must have been behind the scenes to work out the details of a collab like this both logistically and musically. Great funky chart for everyone to show off on! I hope all were enriched by the effort.

At the same time it give me something to shoot for and reminds me that I can always get better, which is mostly why I watch your videos, thanks for the inspiration that you are and the creativity that you help to drive forward in my profession as a musician! Side note, Ik you said that you will be doing Jr. ITF next year, I'm going to be a senior trombonist this coming school year and I was wondering how to get accepted/apply to participate.

This is so awesome. CBill, what model/brand trombone do you use for your higher ranges? I'm currently using a Yamaha YSL-882GO if I remember correctly. I'm going into my senior year of high school...do you recommend an alto trombone?
@classicaltrombone8 жыл бұрын
My best range is on the big Bach 42... you can get a decent high range on any trombone, it will just sound different! Bach 42- open but hard to slot. King 2B- direct and easier to slot. Alto (Conn 36H)- kind of open/kind of direct, very easy to slot, simply due to the overtones not being so close together yet. When I give advice about this stuff, it's a lot like looking up medical advice. Consult your nearest brass technician :p
@devinmeder33618 жыл бұрын
hey Chris do you have an opinion in these new plastic trombones. I'm thinking about getting one

Is Carol related to jazz artist Jeff Jarvis by any chance?
@sargentbaco91826 жыл бұрын
Thank god trombones aren’t stereotypically cocky. Because they could easily call themselves the greatest instrument and it’d be hard to disprove. Trombone is capable of sooo much. This is coming from a trumpet player mind you.

Realraven2000 Boooo, mobile.. Do a quick search for Electrocado - Plinky Plonk Slynk Remix. There's a section roughly in the middle where the bass cuts out and... that's what I was thinking. Either that or a riff. EDIT: Okay, so it's not the middle. 3:25.
