Although you're delivered, that doesn't necessarily mean that the temptation is gone. Now make no mistake, I'm not saying that God is not able to take that desire away, but sometimes it doesn't happen overnight. So I think Bishop Noel was just being honest in that he may be saved and Holy, but he gets tempted as well. But I thank God that even in our weakness, we STILL have the victory!!! AMEN!! I pray this helped, at least a little, with your question.

The power of God's anointing in us will lead us to all truth. the power will not leave us comfortless, but will allow his comfort to become enough. Yes, it takes time. to adjust to the acts of the flesh, but when you have become sick and tired of being sick and tired, you will lay before God in such a way that youu refuse to get up until he can change your mind. God does not give us junk, we chose the junk becuase we become faint. Our attitudes become doubtful, therefore, we lose heart.

@936justme The reason that the desire may be there, is because we are creatures of the spirit AND the flesh (until we put on new bodies). There are times where the flesh is weak (this is a fact), and there is a desire for something that may not be good for the spirit.

For example: if you're a smoker, and you quit smoking, sometimes you may desire a smoke. It may take a long time for that desire to go away, but despite temptation, you're strong enough to resist. No matter how holy we become, we're not exempt from temptation.

@936justmeThe devil even tempted Jesus, and he is the Christ!! So he's DEFINITELY going to try to tempt us. I think Bishop Noel was referring to that temptation, because the devil is not going to tempt us with something thats not desirable to the flesh. Jesus was fasting so the devil tempted him with food, if you're single the devil will tempt you with lust, if you were a prior alcoholic the devil will tempt you with drinking.

I've realized NOW, that I need not to lean on my own understanding but in all my ways I shall acknowledge God and he will direct my path. I thank-God for my wrong decisions and wrong choices because in my weakness he built my character. I have NEVER felt this good in my life. Can't nobody 1/2 do me like Jesus and i will never forget. Thank -you Jesus! I Bragg on Jesus because it was Jesus who went back to he'll to deliver me a second time. It was Jesus who healed me from COPD. It was Jesus who took Insulin Injection. You should never say what the text doesn't say nor can you bring meaning to what it never ment in its original text. We must study. There is no excuse for a lack of study, this is toward some who choice to make lazy presentations.
