I sell and deliver heavily salted snack treats for a living. How you open it depends on the bag. Some of the brands are impossible to open any other way because of what the bag is made of, especially the bags with foil. The foil bags are also why the products have almost six month sell by dates.

So, Bobby, I am really glad the old farmers at my local farmer's market who swore they were up on all the Organic and non GMO rules and meanings were going on old information. While it's true that claimed organic foods without the USDA Organic label can be packed with GMOs and Non GMO can have pesticides including glyphosate. USDA CERTIFIED ORGANIC food cannot be GMO or contain them, like you said. I am so used to business doing anything to make the sale and the FDA being gutted recently, that I would only buy organic stuff with the NON GMO label, also. I have passed on things I would have loved because I don't trust unless I verify. Well I verified from multiple sources because I think you do have our best interests at heart, and I am so happy you are right. Thank You for your channel. I've been a member of Costco since it was Price Club and now there are more things I can enjoy there. I know there's no way to avoid all bad stuff, but I want to do the best I can, considering I used bad pesticides on my home grown crops 35 years ago before I knew and totally stopped using any but soap. It scared the hell out of me smelling the poison coming out in my sweat, and it made me stop. I'm 64 and watch for effects and so far, so good but...... I can't get more exposure than what's impossible to avoid. Again, Thank You.

@Karen Kallem I’ve gotten rid of so many things, I’m shocked at myself. Bobbie changes a lot for us in our food choices. But do we donate our unhealthy food to needy food shelves? I’m torn. Seems a shame to just throw out unopened packages of food.
@selenalamothe9974 жыл бұрын
@@nancycowan6109 I would donate it and tell them your reason why. Humans are resilient. Honestly if you were starved youd eat anything. You need shelter and food. Once those people get that they can become educated on eating better foods. Throwing it away doesnt help anyone.

Is cold pressed the same as expeller pressed?
@aaronwwilliams4 жыл бұрын
Both cold pressed and expeller pressed use a mechanical press to extract the oils from the source. Neither of them apply heat or chemicals for the extraction. The act of mechanically pressing along causes a great amount of friction, which can raise the temperature of the oil as it is extracted. Cold pressed goes a step further to actually mitigate the effect of friction raising the temperature by actively controlling the temperature by cooling to keep the oil always under 120F.
@nothankyou79784 жыл бұрын
Gitte Clausen Cold pressed is even better than expeller pressed! It squeezes the oil out with little heat.
