I concerted from atheism, and my atheist husband of 17years was weirded out at first. Thre was a time when it was hard on our marriage, because our Lord changed me... and he did not know if he loved the new me. Praise be to God, it only lasted about three weeks. Then we talked... a LOT! After a while he agreed to get the children baptised. After their baptism, he got a lot softer towards the Church. Some time later he agreed to get sacramentally married. It was really wonderful and made our marriage even better. About a year later he reentered the Church (this june), and next year he will get his confirmation that he did not get when he was young because he could not say yes to the faith back them. All of this took about 3years.

What a beautiful testimony! Thank you for sharing. This gives me so much hope for my husband. He has all his sacraments and was raised Catholic but is atheist. I pray for him all the time. I go to adoration and pray. I really believe one day he will come back to Christ. Jesus comes for his lost sheep. He came back for me and I believe He will come back for my husband. I'm already seeing the good work of the Lord in him. May God Bless you and your family always.

@lacadapanina Oh thank you! I will pray for you and your husband. I know the time of waiting is so hard... Just keep close to our Lord and our Lady, they will help you through. Keep loving your husband. And one day, the walls around his heart will crumble like the walls of jericho, and Jesus can enter. I prayed a lot to St Joseph too (next to out Lord and Lady of course), to help my husband. May God bless you and your family, protect you from harm and guide all of you to his loving heart!

Thank you for sharing. My husband and I converted/reverted to Catholicism this year from Protestantism and my In Laws Pastor a small Pentecostal country church and it’s been a strain on our relationship. It saddens me but I have many graces from the reception of the Sacraments. Most of my side of the family is either Catholic or Agnostic so there isn’t as much tension on my side. Good news my brother in law is now wanting to become Catholic and one of my Protestant friends is now going through OCIA because of my reversion and is going to be confirmed on Easter - so I can see God working in our lives and believe many families will be converted through our conversion. We have 7 children and 9 grandchildren between us (2nd marriage) and I pray daily for their conversions to the Catholic Church. Padre Pio predicted that Catholicism would spread in the USA and it is happening!!! 💕🙏💕

Sam Shamoun is one of the great minds who came home to the Catholic faith after years of defending protestant. Also Bishop Barron and Father Mike are both great teachers. And I like to watch conversion stories from the Journey Home program especially from a jewish converts. I like to read books by Dr. Scott Hahn, Dr. John Bergsma, Dr. Brant Pitre and many others. I also have five children and I want to consume as much as possible the teachings of our Catholic faith so I can prepare my children before they journey into the wilderness of life.

Thanks for sharing. I recently listened to a fantastic two part talk on Fatima, the Rosary, and The Little Way. In there sister talked about God not answering prayers right away. That in those cases He wants something better and more fulfilling for us than we want for ourselves. She used the example of St. Monica and all she wanted was a believing Catholic son. But God wanted to give her a great Saint and doctor of the Church who through his writings and testimony would convert and edify Christians until Our Lord comes again in His Glory!

Our stories are just a little bit different, but I did mention some of mine under your last video. Continue to do God works in releasing these videos because you are right, God is bringing people home to His church and it can be extremely lonely. Although we don't wish for others to feel pain and suffer, it is nice to know others are going through similar things. God is slowly softening my husband's heart and I look forward to the day when my whole family will be united in His church. May God bless you and your family.

Jesus even says that division would happen in families to those who follow Him and his teachings, especially as Catholics. My aunts and uncles and grandmother started our Catholic but their love of money, fame, power, and wealth consumed and destroyed them from my grandfather’s family business he built from nothing in the Great Depression. He remained Catholic but my grandmother didn’t leaving my Catholic mother with nothing after she received Confirmation and me to learn on my own and seek out parish priests over the years to teach me as well even though I was Confirmed too.

Merry Christmas from Berlin / Germany. Your story is so impressive and so authentic, it made me cry while driving in city traffic during advent (and that as a 55-year old former Lufthansa executive and soldier). We cradle Catholics have no idea how difficult it is for most people to become Catholics, what hurdles and what hostility are in the way. Your way to the Church is real martyrdom, especially since you put your trust in God, not your own convictions, and made the decision to not convert without your husband. That is the stuff of sanctity. And we need it so badly. Sainthood. Not just: What do I think is right and what does me well. No - bring ALL to Christ, be His Church, not an institution that only serves our own individual salvation... More than that... God bless you and your family. I sincerely pray for you to become saints!

@@EmbracingTradition100 We are truly one family, whose head is Christ. And this family stays together only because we have a temporary head in the Holy Father, the teaching authority (by whom we received the Bible canon) and the Holy Eucharist. Without these there are only small groups of people trying their best without the aids... I am really so happy and joyful for every single Protestant who enters the unity of the Church... God be praised! Merry Christmas!

But take heart and know that St. Paul recognizes women such as yourself even 2,000 year ago when he talks about you the believing spouse being yoked to the unbelieving spouse that they may be won over by your faithful witness and gentleness. It’s not easy but take heart and know that you are doing the right thing seeking Jesus in the Eucharist and the Sacraments as powerful manifestations of God’s Love and Mercy, especially Confession.

My husband was raised Catholic but never really practiced the faith. When we met, he began attending the Pentecostal church I was part of, and he was told that he needed to be re-baptized because he had been baptized as a baby in the Catholic Church. We got married, and everything was fine, but about a year later, he decided to return to the Catholic Church - this time, properly. I was upset. Over the years, we had many arguments. Despite joining a Catholic Charismatic community for 10 years, attending Mass with him occasionally, and having our two children baptized in the Catholic Church, I still held on to the Pentecostal way of believing. My family, especially my parents, made it even more challenging for me, as they truly lived out the teachings of Jesus. Twenty-four years into our marriage, I enrolled in Bible College for a year. My husband wasn’t too happy about it, thinking it would make me even less likely to consider the Catholic Church. But, ironically, the experience had the opposite effect. By the time I completed my Diploma in Ministry, I found myself seriously considering the Catholic faith. I started the RCIA process, and late last year, after 25 years of marriage, I was baptized into the Catholic Church - long after my husband had returned to the faith. It was certainly a long wait for him!

Me and my wife were born catholic. We have been married for 32 years, after wedding when we started living together i found out how far away she is from the religion. It took me 25 years of struggle to get her to daily prayers and Sunday Mass. Now she loves church can’t live without Sunday Mass and frequently goes to confession. Its a good habit to at least celebrate First Friday and First Saturday of each month with going to the confession

I was a Reformed Christian for fifteen years before I converted to the Catholic Church, and raised as an Evangelical Christian. At the time of my conversion I was a broken man involved in deep sin. After my second divorce happened, I was excommunicated from the Reformed church upon my declaration that I was investigating Catholicism (instead of returning to Calvinism). That was ten years ago. I was confirmed in the Catholic Church and later went through the annulment process (which turned out to be the greatest “healing” experience of my life). I was married sacramentally six years ago in the Catholic Church. You are very correct that the worlds of Catholicism and Protestantism are very far apart. There really is no comparison in many ways. Your journey was much softer and more sanctified than mine was. I ended up losing all the former friends I once knew as a Protestant. Reformed Christians generally do not engage with Catholics in any meaningful way. Whether they say so or not, the Catholic Church is a false religion to them. But I am open to dialogue with any faction outside of Christ’s Church. At present I am engaged in Catholic Apologetics with Mormons. Welcome to the family, sister! Your story is much needed in Holy Mother Church! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤

@ Thank you, sister! I ended up marrying a single mother from the Philippines 🇵🇭 whose whole family are life long Catholics. In the place of the loss of reformed friends here in the States, I have Catholic friends here and a large Catholic family overseas. We were married at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in the Philippines. God does not abandon us… ever! Please pray for my Mormon friend, Marty, in Bountiful Utah. He has a Mormon podcast on You Tube, but I have shared much information with him about the Catholic Church. And I have challenged his worldview as a Latter Day Saint. The Catholic faith is the best alternative to the lies of the Mormon religion…. but it is an extremely hard sell! Mormons suspect and reject the Catholic Church more than the reformed do. 🙏

Thank you for sharing such a difficult conversion story. By doing God's will above all else will certainly bring many blessings. I can imagine the Eternal Father saying, "Well done my good and faithful servant." May God abundantly bless you and your family...and your channel. You seem like a sweet and genuine lady, so good things will come. I don't fully understand why Protestants abandon those who leave for the Catholic Church. How it that charitable? It shows there never was a true friendship, and dare I say, no true faith. I suspect it is based on all the lies they have been told about the Catholic Church and the resulting fear. When someone leaves the Catholic Church for Protestantism, we don't disown them. We know they didn't know their faith and they are on a journey like all of us. We love them and offer the truth that were lacking. More times than not, that indelible mark of infant Baptism and many prayers will lead them home. St. Monica is the example and look how St. Augustine turned out.

Similar issues in my home. I was bothered by the pastoral teaching at my wife’s Baptist Church. He kept calling everything “symbolic”. I know Jesus’s words are not symbolic in these regards as related to those things. I had to take issue with it and found myself pulled by a team of work horses back to the Catholic Church. My wife thinks i have been lured into the land of Satan… …she can’t understand. It’s pretty bad. Yet, it is not going to be undone. I am Catholic. She is vehemently opposed to it. It’s going to have to continue in God’s hands. I trust God, alone or together, he has this. God bless you and your husband. ❤🙏🏼

I GREW UP IN MISSISSIPPI - VERY PROTESTANT - AND I CONVERTED TO THE CATHOLIC FAITH in 1970. Regarding my relatives, on my father's side are mostly Pentecostals, again, very anti-Catholic, but, of course any non-Catholic/Protestant denomination is anti-Catholic. So, I've heard it all. I'm going to hell if I don't get out of the Catholic Church, etc. The Catholic faith itself says if our theology is wrong it will not send us to hell. What can jeopardize a soul is dying with an unrepentant mortal (serious) sin. And yet, which can be forgiven by praying for forgiveness, even if the dying cannot get to a priest. Even a short plea with seconds to live, God forgives. So, as far as dealing with conflicts about our Catholic faith, these can be tough, but Jesus Himself says members of one's own family may divide because of Him. But, hanging in there, prayer, and, though it may take years, eventually, miracles happen and things work out.

Please don’t label all Protestants this way. It’s very disingenuous. My kids go to Catholic school and were told by their theology teacher that as a Lutheran they would have a hard time getting to heaven. I understand that the RCC considers me anathema for leaving, but leave my kids out of it. Fortunately, our church does not teach treating others this way. We have differences but we do not believe we are the only way to salvation. That comes from Christ. Many Protestants are not anti Catholic. Many of us have moved on. God bless

My situation is that i was a fallen away Catholic and my wife never strayed now that I've returned back home I just want to do the Father's will and learn and participate and share my faith with everyone. But my wife says and thinks now that I'm to Catholic that I'm overdoing it with me trying to go to daily mass, daily Rosary, Holy Hour, participating in men's group at another church since we don't have 1 at our Parish. She sees me as a fanatic.🙏🏼 My mother in-law is the only Catholic left in both our families every one else is now protestante or fallen away Catholics that don't attend Mass and show up on ash wednesday or Easter 😔

What do you think about Mt 28:19? 'Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost' In my understanding, Jesus tells us directly to baptise all to the trinity. But i don't know how your tradition interprets that.

@MrsYasha1984 Our tradition interprets it through the book of acts " baptizing in the name of Jesus", as it continuously uses this throughout the book.
