Excellent video. I build a Heathkit Q Multiplier to go with my Drake 2B receiver for CW back in my K1ZRK days in high school. The two together had outstanding selectivity for CW, I used to do quite a lot of CW DX with this and my forty foot vertical antenna on our roof. I also built a fine Heathkit superregenerative receiver from a kit, prior to upgrading to the Drake 2B.

Jeff - very nice review of Q multiplier - a great example of useful circuits that are fading from existence due to advancements in technology. I tweeted a link to this video.

Great video series. I built this same setup (GR-64 + GD-125) plus built an RF Preselector "Ferret" from Popular Electronics March 1968.

Nice video! I knew that many older "up scale" shortwave radios included integrated Q-Multipliers, but this is the first time I've seen one demonstrated. The combination of peak and notch modes seems to provide incredible versatility. Due to the utilized IF frequency, I suppose these were relegated to single-conversion sets only.
