I sailed on that crossing on many occasions as it is slightly less rough as you spend more time in the lee of land than the Ullapool to Stornoway crossing which can be very rough but not as bad as the Shetland to Aberdeen crossing where a fishing boat passed above the top of the Isle of St Clair ferry that I was lucky!!!! enough to be on that ran in the late 90's not a work trip that time but I did work in the Bank in Shetland for a week. Another stunning island to tour.

Saying the best till last, it’s all done for fun I’m not really that grumpy lol Think you are traveling again, we’re fishing the Spey beginning of September if there’s any water Paul

@@time-2-fly Yeah we got a new van a few weeks ago so are on a short break to Lytham and Blackpool before setting off to France for a month mid August. Enjoy fishing on the Spey when it comes around.

@@motorroamingaround we’re still waiting for the new water tank to arrive and decided to have air suspension fitted, should be all ready for our next highland visit. Enjoy the hot weather. We had a house in the south of France for 17 years so not in a big hurry to visit yet.

@@time-2-fly Ah we have so much in common. We had a house in Florida for 15 years and just sold it in January this year. My sister has a house in the Dordogne so we’re going to spend a few days with her during our trip. Hope you get your tank problem sorted and get back on the road travelling.
