wow, what a wonderful instrument. the appearance alone is beautiful but the sound, being similar to a violin, is awesome. Its like the violins more complex cousin, and the fact that you can play it so well deserves major respect. well done!

+Stephen Owesney Hi Stephen - there is no standard tuning for the nyckelharpa. This one from bottom to top is DGDA and the sympathetic strings are tuned pretty much chromatically from D up.

Your music is so beautiful and the Nyckelharpa speaks directly to my soul, its amazing to get a reply from you. :) I am also guessing that obtaining a Nyckelharpa would be rather expensive.
