My dad was forward observer for 115th out of 110 field artillery in 29th infantry division. He was wounded D-day +11 in hedgerow.

Nice video; I’m in the Choctaw tribe and one man, Van T. Barfoot started in the 1st Infantry Division. Just before Sicily, he was reassigned to the 3rd platoon, L company, 3rd battalion, 157th Regiment, 45th Division where he would earn the Medal of Honor fighting at the Italian town Carano in the Anzio campaign (operation shingle)
