Share this film and then demand that governments act to stop tax dodging at po.st/hTtgSv
When companies don’t pay their fair share of tax, developing countries are deprived of funds needed for vital services like hospitals - it’s estimated that each year poor countries lose out on $100bn in tax revenue. It’s the world’s poorest people who suffer the most.

Not only poor countries. Corruption is almost everywere in Canada. But tax evasion and market speculation on raw materials / food is devastating for developing countries.

Not only poor countries, the USA is like one of the worst places currently regarding this. And they get applauded for it.

Powerful & cleverly shot video from Oxfam. Countries should work together to crack down & ensure Corporations pay their share of taxes... Particularly in an increasingly Global market, we in developed countries like the UK should be at the forefront of this control, not giving them handouts as they evade tax all over the world & screw over everyone bar the shareholders.

Thank you, we hope the video will help people realise the true human cost of tax dodging. Global tax laws are full of loopholes, which multinationals and the super-rich are able to use to artificially minimise their tax bills. It may be legal but it isn’t fair - and the it’s the world’s poorest who are hardest hit. Thanks - Soph

This was played on a conference today. When it ended, I had a hotwave, my heart rate went to the skies and almost cried. Its a decent, well made video, but goddamn, it would have been great without the last scene. As a mother, I hate you for that last scene.

Don't be ridiculous. The problem of tax avoidance has always been around, Labour have as much blood on their hands as the Tories. It's quite disgusting that you would try to turn this into an issue with a particular party to score some points. The entire system is corrupt and there are few honest MPs around. This sort of corruption is maintained by playing one side against the other, a tactic which is proven effective by your comment. This video is really quite ironic when you consider that Oxfam reported over 500k missing in fraud and corruption between 2015/2016. Not to mention all of the other scandals in which they have been involved, including a load of sex scandals going on right now. Then you have a few top executives whose total pay and benefits topped over £700,000! They (Oxfam) paid for private education of some employees children, offered pension payments and if the person was living in a high tax country, Oxfam would help cover the costs. So basically people with plenty of pay were being given tax subsidies from the charity. If I had the time I would love to rip apart their public accounts and see how much it costs to run the shops compared to the total amount raised from operating them, that is if the public figures are detailed enough for that. Hopefully a journalist with some time might give it a go. I'm not sure all my figures are 100% as I'm doing this off the top of my head, but you can go and check the figures yourself with the dates and other details provided.

Hello. Our latest inequality report explains that economic inequality is out of control. In 2019 world’s billionaires - only 2,153 people - had more wealth than 4.6 billion people. This great divide is based on a flawed and sexist economic system that values the wealth of the privileged few, mostly men, more than the billions of hours of the most essential work - the unpaid and underpaid care work done primarily by women and girls around the world.
