While prone, you gain something like 70% explosive damage resistance. When one of your fellow "allies" call a 500kg on you, get to about 15m away and dive, and you'll probably survive. Probably. Also, bringing sentries to defense missions makes them ridiculously easy. The Illuminate are the most difficult in defense purely because of those fuckers (elevated overseers).

19:45 me and my mates have found that that mission is a lot easier when everyone brings mortars and at least one stunning mortar, for the yard sticks I've found that it's pretty optimal to have a pissing contest using a laser cannon, especially since the "ammo" is technically infinite if you let the battery cool down, but i also like to bring a shield backpack if not a guard dog for the zombies.

First time i got behind the wheel it took about 20 seconds for me to get stuck in a pothole. Now obviously we let another person drive next, this resulted in most of us dying. Therefore i was a great first time driver when compared to my team

Defense missions against the Illuminate are easy if 2-3 of you have the RR equipped. A single shot to a warp ship's underside takes it out before it can beam down reinforcements. If the aim is good enough, you won't have to worry about any ground forces (or airborne overseers) at all. If one warp ship gets to beam down forces, the multitude of turrets you'd bring beside the RR in your remaining slots will be more than enough to deal with them.
