Great bonus episode! The art direction and personality of Queen B are amazing. Also, for those who don't know, Queen B is short for Beelzebub, Ruler of the Ring: Gluttony. Hell's hierarchy is something like this: Hellhounds > Imps > Sinners > Overlords (like the Alistor or the Vox) > The Ars Goetia (like Stolas) > Seven Deadly Sins (Like Queen B, Asmodeus) > Lucifer Morningstar As one of the most powerful demons in the Vivziepop's hell, she is very important to the overall arc, hopefully she gets at least more cameos in other episodes!

It's because it *was* really short. It was 15 minutes compared to the usual 17, and three minutes were taken up by Kesha's musical number. Which is fair, considering that they got an ACTUAL famous pop star to voice a character and it makes sense for them to want to show her off, but it doesn't do any favors for the shorter run time.

The legal problems the Helluva Boss crew were having was because at the time, Kesha was going through a legal battle with an abusive former producer. Basically, if Kesha sang the song the producer would have demanded royalties from the Helluva Boss crew. Kesha did help write the song though, which is really cool. According to some leaked messages, there is a version sang by Kesha, they just didnt use it. So maybe some day we will get it.

Yep you are right! Though kesha helped in the writing process. Due a legal battle she was having with the record label she was with, anything she fully wrote or sang would become their property. That obviously wasn't something that Viv could just pay for, so Kesha had to fight her label to be a part of the show, and wasn't able to sing in it at all to avoid Helluva Boss from falling into their hands as well. It was messy.

It's like with "Die young" Viv did before. The animation made the whole song come alive!!! The Music on it's own was good, but paired with the life of the party, it was Incredible! 11:15 this really does show Blitz is a good father, and I think that episode that Loona and Olivia hung out was referring to. He could've said fuck this and partied, but no he not only shows up immediately when she needs him, but insists on leaving, it took convincing from her to get him to party. Then we see something deep in Blitz, his greatest fear is being alone... is this a foretelling of things to come? I got 3 ideas where it could go post episode 4 season 2, already in another comment so won't make this one too long. Will also say I was suspicious of Queen Bee, thought she would be some secretly evil character, but even after she gets scary and big, she seemed fine, not like she had some dark secret, she just likes to party and does care about people. Loona was the one that pushed her into that angry mode, which hey not her fault either, moody teen, edgy moody teen, jealous of Bee. Guessing something involving Kesha was involved with its delay, either rights, or getting her on board at all, using her song, something, but hey I think it worked out for the best, was perfect it came out after the newest episode in season 2, because it created suspense and tension for the fans with Blitz. Saw so many people talking shit on Blitz, being an asshole to Stolas (what do you expect he's a demon?), while missing the point and feels that Blitz was expressing.

What happened to Stolas is a brief glimpse at that, something bigger on the horizon that will impact everyone, but Blitz the most. Not saying Stolas will die, or Blitz, but something, maybe being abandoned and then power of friendship saves the day, or something, or maybe Blitz gets that um... what was it, was in Hazbin Hotel? Some sort of purge thing where Hell gets cleaned up a bit. Blitz or someone he knows caught in that cross fire.

I don't know how Nux doesn't know about Kesha. She's been around literally since I was a kid. I wanna say early 2000s but my memory gets fuzzy around that time. Point is, she's one of the biggest pop stars almost of all time at this point. Definitely one of the most well known among millennials. How Viv even got her to voice in the show is beyond me. I thought it was insane when the cast for Helluva was announced, getting Invader Zim, now we have a straight up pop star in the show. Who can't Viv get at this point?

Now as for her design is similar to Vivziepop’s Zoophobia character JayJay from her animated music video adaptation of Kesha's song "Die Young" - I think I notice a reference to the movie Rover Dangerfield with a dog wearing a shirt that says Rodney Dangerfield’s catchphrase “No Resect”

It's not Kesha singing. She only wrote the song and did the speaking lines. The reason the show didn't air on time was the fact that Kesha's old record label was jamming her up. By claiming copyright on anything she sang. So they got a soundalike to sing it just so that her old label could not interfere.

Bee is short for Beelzebub, symbolizing the sin of gluttony (Queen Bee of Glutony). Bee is the ruler of the Gluttony Ring in which the episode takes place. Since Bee wanted to celebrate her sin of gluttony with her party, Blitzø's action was against the party rule because he was celebrating lust, which is probably more Asmodeu's taste. Bee was dubbed by singer Kasha. The song "Cotton Candy" was also written and originally sung by Kesha. Unfortunately, the record company Kesha is signed to has been stressful because they own the rights to every song Kesha sings. So Cotton Candy had to be sung entirely by another singer, which is why the episode was so late. But I think the singer's voice comes close to Kesha's.

For anyone interested. Helluva Boss incorporates some of the theories of Peter Bisfeld, a german bishop and theologan from the 16th century. He posited that there were seven powerful demons who each represented one of the seven deadly sins. Here is the list (in no particular order): Lucifer = Pride Satan = Wrath Beelzebub = Gluttony Belphegor = Sloth Mammon = Greed Leviathan = Envy Asmodeus = Lust As we have seen so far in Helluva boss, there seems to be seven rings each ruled by one of these demons.
