Left this comment on all these reactions but I LOVE that Edgeshot isn't quiet and solemn. He's furious and he's pissed. His sacrifice hits harder than Bakugo's death (even when I believed it) tbh...He isn't old, just 33 years old. And he refuses to accept the reality thats been thrown infront of him. Someone screaming to keep fighting and putting his body through the worst hell out of spite? Yeah, theres nobody better suited to be Bakugo's heart.

Tbh i was more upset with Bakugos death than with Edge Shots sacrifice when i read the manga. It was cool and all but it didn't hit right. But here in anime format, Edge Shot made me tear up hella bad. This was so well done.

I was frustrated in the manga when he wasn’t even dead for a few chapters before they were like “yea we can bring him back” and it felt even less impactful here because he was gone for not even a full episode before they were saying he can come back. I really do believe if she actually did end up as just a head, she’d still roll with it and try to bite her way to victory.

I have a feeling what Mirio did to temporarily stall shigaraki was what he did to get nighteye to laugh. As much as I was in the river denial, I was sad when edgeshot gave up his life to save Bakugo but respect for taking responsibility because somewhere in these comments, someone mentioned, and I agree that these adult heroes are responsible for bringing these kids into an all-out war against highly dangerous villains.

I feel like I might understand Sam's point in the beginning. If I think of Bakugo sacrificing himself or dying, I imagine him going all out and fighting like Mirko. Obviously he can't move without a heart, but him going down in one swift shot feels off for Bakugo. It's done on purpose to show how strong Shigaraki is, but I get her sentiment(I think lol)

I’m glad that Bakugo (seems to be?) coming back cause his story felt unfinished but I feel like MHA has got into a habit of immediately undercutting every big moment. Star sacrifices herself in a badass way to seriously damage Shigaraki and take away a bunch of his quirks… and it turns out he just has to rest for a week. Todoroki has a big cathartic moment in putting down Dabi, then Dabi is recovered two episodes later. Then Bakugo literally dies and one week later there’s a weird ass pull where he’s resurrected, the only consequence is a very minor character no one cares about has to go. I feel like the author wants the benefit of creating these grand sweeping epic moments without having to actually write through the consequences. And it’s diminishing returns every time, I’m not a manga reader but Bakugo’s death didn’t hit as hard cause I kinda figured something like this would happen.

Mirko didn't "bite" him, she kicked the shit out of him. ShigAFO believes to be in the perfect body, but it's still taking damage that can't be healed due to Erasure, but he doesn't accept that and throws his emotions into turmoil, which further weaken him. That's why he rationalizes away the "accumulated damage" to "I was actually feeling threatened?!" when it was both.

In the anime they haven't explained it well, and maybe it's just me being confused with what I remember, but it's not that Shigaraki hit Bakugo in the heart, it's more that the new way Bakugo's qirk was working was putting too much tension in his heart, and his heart literally exploded in that last attack.,,,,,,,,To be fair, it's not that anyone was going to imagine that Edgeshot ''could'' do that with his qirk, it's just that this is a shonen, anything is possible with the power of the script hahahahahaha
