The current slop has made people appreciate the past more. There is an increase in interest in pulp heroes like Conan and Tarzan, and God willing, we'll see the return to normalcy

I think Howard was a very talented and vastly underrated author. His works might be a bit repetetive on their plots but they are remarkably well written with vivid, credible and relatable characters. Starting with Conan himself, who might be insanely strong and evercompetent in any situation but he's by no mean a superhero. He can be beated and will be beated every now and then, albeit only to rise again, he has limits, he can be scared even if he's vastly brave and indomitable, and sometimes he shows some very human vulnerability. Howards' novels are a milestone of the Sword and Sorcery everyone should read.

The problem is that it attracts the wrong crowd: the progressive. This progressive want also to deconstruct this heroes, like i show in my video that i have made in december about the current run of Conan by Jim Zub at Titan Comics and the comments under it prove my point.

[SPOILER] Actually, in the very same book you mention of the Guide to Galaxy serie Arthur Dent and Ford Perfect conclude that humans are not the descendants of the exiled aliens, but they are part of Deep Thought's (not sure about the name of the supercomputer) blueprints for the Earth supercomputer. Humans are actually kinda the control interface of the operating system of Earth (as a supercomputer). That's why mice (who, just as dolphins, are an actual highly advanced alien race) influence the development of the human civilization in order to correctly process the Ultimate Question to the Ultimate Answer. And they (Arthur and Ford) menage to even extract the conclusion to the Ultimate Question from Arthur's brain. In the original draftt of the Guide to Galaxy the actual Ultimate Question was'What do you get if you multiply six by nine?' and the answer '42' is obviously wrong. So the whole universe, they find out, is all based on wrong premises and this is why everything is so, ultimately, nuts. About the exile aliens, they all went extinct because they where completely inept and they couldn't survive a wild environment. They could only trive in the comfort of modern society.

I love heroes as well. So much so I wrote 3 superhero fiction novels and a novella. I saw back in 2017 that I couldn’t find the kinds of superhero stories, in comics or novels, I wanted to read. So I decided to write them myself. I appreciate these videos and couldn’t agree more with your takes. Keep it up.

Hey, I did the exact same thing! Only the "novella" wasn't supposed to be a novella. It's just that my outline turned out to be half-baked and I'll need some new ideas in my next draft to get it up to the length of the last three (it's also not nearly as good as the others as is, either, so it's not simply a case of that being the "right length" for this story).

We are still at a point where trying to push useful ideas can get you into trouble. If you put forward ideas that actually have results you may just end up a social pariah in many places. Look at the way some urban dwellers act towards rural areas . Concrete results get you regulated, taxed or worse in many situations. Try manufacturing something of use right now and see what happens or growing food and just giving it away.

It seems these are the times when the wheat is being separated from the chaff. The useless and deconstructed will eventually collapse while truth and virtue will endure. Sometimes the battle looks long and painful in my eyes. But instead of trying to change the world (or getting frustrated in the attempt) I choose to focus on personal responsibility by improving my own life. I'm learning when I do that, it improves the lives of others around me too. As Jordan Peterson said, it tilts the world towards Heaven.

In a future world that is post-cataclysmic, many of the occupations that people make into their careers are only going to be seen as luxuries instead of jobs. The only real jobs will be those kinds of occupations where careers are determined by how much of a productive member of society that you are, not by how much someone is satisfied by their artistic needs. This is why Hollywood and the people who run it are scared. They know that, in a future world that is filled with that much hardship, a lot of them are not going to survive. In a world where you must pull your own weight in order to become a truly productive member of the community, being motivated by becoming rich and famous is no longer an option. The priority is now only survival. And the one thing that never, ever changes is survival of the fittest. Movie and T.V. series actors, actresses, directors, executive producers, producers, and writers, dance choreographers, fashion models, musicians, composers, singers, and songwriters, are not going to make it. Businessmen, medical doctors, lawyers, scientists and soldiers will. They are still necessary, and they always will be. The other positions are not necessary, as they are just considered to be glorified hobbies that are no longer essential. As they should be.

Absolutely! Heroism amounts to Sacrifice of one's self and its ability to pertain serenity of their surroundings & society. This so called "Woke" era by these unethical "progressives" has blurred the line from actual virtuas heroism & villainous vice! By "them" pushing the denial of reality which unequivocally leads to chaos & entropy via economic stagnation. We're in desperate need of traditional heroism with inspirational ideals now more than ever. To wake the percentage of people that unknowingly fell victim, by these unethical influences from "progressives". The universe has a way of cleansing the unwanted amount of useless percentage fodder in due time. 21:55 correction. All countries are starting to decline demographically. It just depends where on the bell curve you are. Japan is at the front and India is at the end of the curve. Everyone else is in between. Population decrease should be a boon. Especially as it seems to be peaceful reasons. Not because of some disease or massive war (seems, I am no prophet).

If you ask me, what society rigth now, needs, not only return to reality, but the reality, you wont make men, because men are the ones that do the most to keep society runining, and no, i will not discard womans, some womans that actualy want to make society run and woman that understand that men and woman complement each other and that yes they are important but they complement not replace men, and if you want to colaborate and have rigths you also have obligations and responsability. But we need to go back to the idea that we can not live in a society that rewards minority and punish its majority empty the reasons that young specialy men, dont have a reason to continue to defend a society, that is what happen in the third world were low trust society are rampantand dont give a reason men to continue, and only reward a few, for a society to progress must come with reality, men and woman are different mif you want a society to progress must come with the idea of meritocracy, and reward heroic, small goverement that dont bend to rich and elite and so for and so on, also do not forget economical freedom
