I guess the omnipotence of Sado serves primarily as an example of how far ahead of Lionel Carla is as a programmer. What with the chestnut about sufficiently advanced technology appearing to be magic.

i think it ties into the themes of Pony Island and Inscryption, Sado was probably an actual demon inserted into the code

Lionel got lucky with Weasel boy but he didn't understand the depth video game development had. Carla however knew that video game development has the power to create life so they created a character truly empowered.

I doubt Carla ever knew the depths of what the Gameworks could do in regards to creating supernaturally sentient characters. The characters created by the Gameworks seem to inherit their creator's desires at the time of making them. When Lionel created Chandrelle he was frustrated having to create her because it was Carla's idea, and he had too much of an ego for that. He didn't want Chandrelle to exist, and Chandrelle inherited that same feeling, she wanted her game to cease forever and essentially wanted to just sink into oblivion, but she was forced by circumstance to carry on. When Carla was making Sado she was feeling similarly, but clearly Carla's enmity was a lot more subtle and ambitious. She didn't want the game to be ruined, but she wanted more and more power over the game design process because Lionel was clearly stifling the team with his narcissism. Sado inherited Carla's ambition and desire to have control over the game, which is why she's so much more adept at controlling it how she wants (and why she has a desire to break free from containment).

Lionel might have had it coming... But i'm not gonna say everyone at the Six Pints is the best person Some of them like Bryce and Rust i feel bad for But Chandrelle killed her own game by her OWN actions, so she's not extactly Innocent Plus she got Lazarus booted to Vicious Galaxy But it's safe to say, overall, the Real Horror is Sado, She's the most dangerous Figure here, and she ISN'T Lionel's

Bryce wasn't even Lionel's creation. He was the license borrowed character. So he was intended into it against his own will. Including grandma accident.

Chandrelle isn't at fault for that, Lionel created her while disliking her as a character, so she inherited his loathing for her and was essentially born wanting her game to be over, because that's what her creator wanted when he made her. She certainly isn't as manipulative or evil as Reginald and Jeremiah. But in the end, the real villain in all of this is Gameworks. Lionel could never have known what he was accidentally doing with these games, the demonic software hid it from him and they were the ones who tormented Chandrelle, Bryce, Lazarus, and Reginald, not Lionel.

@@jeepercreepers9They both have a singular eye motif. From the way the Gameworks functions, it seems that there's almost a kind of generational inheritance going on with characters, where even seemingly unrelated characters can inherit parts of previous characters because the Gameworks is essentially constantly recycling its assets and almost all of it's characters created with the software are amalgams of other characters.

She's not a villain. Sado's pretty much one hell of a fourth wall-breaker boss. And unlike any of Lionel's cliché'd enemies, she has only the goal of entertaining us. I wish we could just help her like we helped mr. Bartender in the end, but perhaps... That's what we did, right?

How I see it, Sado was created by Carla because Carla hated Lionel at one point, so she made her to get revenge on him. Lionel seemed hostile when he mentioned "Her ego was getting in the way of my shining greatness", so it sounded like he fired her or threatened to and then did. So Carla probably wanted to kill Lionel. She did this by making Sado, who eventually helps you to get the artifact and release Reggie (he's the rootbeer guy, right?) to kill Lionel, which also releases Sado into the real world. She got what she wanted, which is why she never targets the player, because she knows she needs you to help release her.

@@RevolutionaryOven Yeah, his name was Reggie. Also it is stated somewhere else, in a confession, that the characters took wind of Lionel's existance somehow. Wouldn't that be Sado's doing? Even more indicated by... Well, a secret ending in particular. And for Vengence over there, she may even be a "villain", but... She never does it for harming us. Everytime she plays, it's on the role of an entertainer, knowing that you won't give up. Only time I saw her change tone was on Waste World's "Hardcore mode", when you first try turning on the mods. She screams at you, the player, for doing it. And she does the Pokemon/Fortnite/Mario references on her final show because she knows these games are somehow popular. Yet I wonder what she would do by picking other icons.

I just finished The Hex and wow. The Hex is a must play for people who like Inscryption and Pony Island, it truly ties the three together and makes everything come into view. I wish I played the games in order but The Hex is a wonderful experience! I'm really looking forward to Pony Island 2 and finding out if it pushes the story even further.

Such a mindbending character 0.0 I would've liked to see even more of him throughout the game, and the way he was.... (spoilers) incorporated into the ending spooked the hell out of me. He essentially invaded the real world after the bartender murdered Lionel Snill.

It's a she. Sado was made by Clara after telling Lionel there were too many males in the fighting game.

@@leafkirby2 The funniest part is when he tries claiming the robot as nonbinary to refute Carla's point and I'm just sitting there shaking my head. Lionel made a really good bastard villain in that game. I loved to hate him.
