I sincerely appreciate the efforts to raise awareness and promote Ntangki National Park. However, it is important to acknowledge a significant historical fact: the land on which the National Park stands today was generously donated by the local community, specifically Old Beisumpui Village of the Zeliang Tribe in Nagaland. Unfortunately, the community was never compensated for the land, either in cash or in kind. Additionally, the local community originally named it "NTANGKI" forest but due to mispronunciation, the officials and the government recorded it as "INTANGKI."

During lock down 2020 we went for sight seeing.. You can see beautiful waterfall not that high or big , you can see a cave type under the tree where elephant eat mud season by season they come and eat from assam, and you can also see a place where pigeons drink water in summer all this three are in one way. The river is so so beautiful in some part the river is fully flat stone for like 100 or 200 meters where you can use water sports material to slide down... In some part of other river you will see water blue or green. There are so many crabs and fish at night no need to use fishing material or illegal toxic things you can just walk around for 10 to 20 minutes and get it for one curry just by using ur hand.. You can spend 2 nights. Avoid camping in elegant camp because they can come anytime.. Apart from that all the big big minister of nagaland love eating wild animals, they go around preaching about saving they're the first one to eat.. Hunting was high 10 to 15 years back but now after posting forest guard things have slow down.. But this forest guard are not regular they come and go anytime they want and be missing for weeks and weeks.. If they have become good friends with villagers they might go hunting together😂😂 best option for forest guard or minister is to be non-naga.

Its disheartening to hear that the Intanki Reserved Forest in Nagaland might be handed over to rehabilitate Thangkul communities from Manipur after the NSCN-IM concludes its talks with the Government of India.

The Forest is well guarded at the capacity of manpower provided by the Govt but the Govt should give more attention like more facilties, more forces according to the size of the vast stretches of the park.. The peoples from adjoining villages and communities from zeliang and kukis also should cooperate to avoid sneaking in and hunting in the interest of the Nagas as a whole....
