I think jhope rap is unique because he is dancer. His flows like dance moves, his switches, agility, melodic quality and versatility to his rap is so unique, he is also a king of adlibs!

Mr. Sunshine (aka J-HOPE) was the 1st Asian artist to be the headliner of Lollapalooza. Awesome, awesome performance. Man of many talents. All of BTS are extremely talented young men. They're not a boy band, they're a group. There's so much more to them. Watch, Listen & Learn , lol you'll love them when you learn what they are all about. 😊 Ty for sharing your journey down the BTS rabbit hole. Much love from this 71 yr old ARMY. I purple you 💜💜💜 💜 from 🇺🇸🗽💜

I love that you isolated that fuzzy base line. I love the minimalism of the song, and I love how that baseline fills enough space to support his rapping. So cool. This song and ARSON were a BIG departure from his earlier songs, like DAYDREAM for example, which I think is a killer song.

Thanks for checking out j-hope! I have to say that this track is not his most creative in terms of being analyzed by a sound engineer, but I'm sure you'll get to some of the more interesting tracks in the future. Looking forward to your next reaction.

This song comes from the concept album Jack in the box, which received great reviews worldwide, Rolling Stone magazine named the album one of the top ten albums of 2022, and the Grammys named J-Hope artist of the month along with Beyonce. J-Hope is a very unique musician and rapper, his music is very diverse and constantly surprises us with new ideas. He is also one of the best dancers in k-pop and has an incredible stage presence.

Jhope was a street dancer with an amazing story, he carries that into his music, what he bring to BTS and who he is and what he wants to represent

The best thing about BTS as a whole and members as a solo artists is that they are changing with every album. J-Hope for example. He's first mixtape (Hope World) is completely different that his first studio album (Jack in The Box) and his second album (Hope on the street vol.1) is 180 from JITB. Same with RM. His 2 mixtapes (RM and Mono) are total opposites and same with his 2 albums and it is similar with other members and BTS as a group. They are not afraid to challenge themselves and that is something I absolutely love. I barely listen to other artist tbh because I have almost everything in BTS' discography. Also I love how they rearranging their songs for concerts. They play with a live bands and their live versions are always more rock-ish.

A genius indeed!!! Love all the members solo work, but there's something extra special about Jhope for me. He's such a complete artist, and his variety is incredible. He's not afraid to dive into different sounds and have fun with it. Also, a FANTASTIC performer. Him at Lollapalooza 😩🙌🏾🙌🏾

J-Hope so talented. Great rapper, dancer and has a beautiful singing voice. You should react to Arson too and of course 2022 Lollapalooza ("you can call me Jay") performance in Chicago where he performed solo. Also rap line (three very talented and very different rappers, RM, Suga and J-Hope). UGH and Outro Tear (both live performances) are very good.

1:45 That expression when you first hear this chorus is so satisfying. My jaw hit the floor when he released this track in 2022 because we ARMY hadn't heard anything like this from j-hope before. "I was not expecting that" is a typical reaction to Hobi's artistic choices. As you say, you can't put him in a box (and for more on that theme, you should listen to the rest of his Jack In The Box album). But what you can expect from j-hope is innovative, intelligent, inspiring music worth listening to.

Everyone is going to say to do Daechwita for Suga's turn. I agree that it's a masterpiece of a song. The thing is, it's part of a trilogy with Haegum and Amygula following in order. So, I would suggest, like others before me, Snooze. Another is People part 2. Both have features, Woosung and IU, respectively. But, both are great songs.

As a big fan of j-hope, this whole album was not surprising to me. Instead it was something I always wanted to hear from him, style and mood-wise. He is a true genius that keeps on getting better and better with each release and ALWAYS tried and does something new and unique. Definitely make sure to check out all of his discography and his 2 documentaries and his Lollapalooza performance that was absolute FIRE! 🔥

Thanks for checking this out, Hobi is our sunshine and his previous music was more upbeat and uplifting. In his latest solos/albums he surprised us with this darker side. At first I wasn't sure I liked this song, but it very quickly grew on me and now I love it! His and the rest of the members versatility is incredible, they just keep on giving. You can never pigeon hole them into a box for sure, they'll always come back with something more interesting. Their team is also amazing, they've stuck by them since day 1 in some cases. Now they are reaping their faith in these amazing young men. Love it.

J Hope isn't THE rapper of the group, he is a great rapper but THE rapper could more suitably applied to either RM or Suga. J Hope is THE dancer of the group, along with Jimin. What J Hope brings to his works is his understanding of rhythm and his excellent singing voice.
@Markatta4 күн бұрын
So Hobi can't be put on the same level as the other rapline members because he's also their dance leader and a good singer, both of which helps influence his unique rapstyle and overall artistry? I thought we've moved past trying to box the boys in like this, especially with all their amazing solo works smacking those preconceived notions in the face, but apparently not.
@judyburgess33574 күн бұрын
@Markatta when you think of BTS you don't think of J Hope as THE rapper. Adding THE to the title is putting the recipient above and apart from the other members.
@Markatta4 күн бұрын
@@judyburgess3357 The issue isn't you correcting him for thinking the group only has one rapper, it's that you chose to do that by putting him beneath the others instead, saying that they're "THE" rappers and not him.

j-hope is THE rapper of the group but he is also ACE of K-pop , that means rapper , singer , dancer and song writer, producer. I don’t think it is fair to downplay hobi rap skills to complement another member
