It’s the nature of midlane because it’s the shortest lane so it provide more benefits to heroes that can burst good amount of damage in a short period of time. Which is not Tristana. The only scenario you gonna win the lane with this strategy is when you have much more game understanding than your opponent if you think you’re not at that level of understanding I wouldn’t recommend this strategy. That’s my honest opinion 😅

@@JunTengya No sure what you are on about, Trist has great burst. It's not melee assassin level but it's pretty close. But yeah she is still a squishy ranged champ at the end of the day and if she does fall behind she is just as vulnerable to being snowballed on as any other marksman.

Weve been doing trist mid for 10 years now. They removed the AP ratios on her kit cause we used to go FULL AP and 1 shot with W and R. This is older than you think

It's getting nerfed in 13.16. Her Health and MR are reduced to make her weaker against AP mages, but her armor is going up, likely to keep her as a counterpick into AD assassins.

@@Tnargav That's just how buffers work. In order to remove that interaction, they would remove the cast timing on w which arguably would make it stronger (instant dash). The ability already frequently feels bd. Buffering it consistently is really hard for anyone not like challenger level

Lessons: 1st game -Enemy is passive: Push them in and roam; if they miss: Push and damage tower -Do not get caught by sudden enemy upnumbers (see 1 champ, you go in, fog reveals 2nd champ) -Target squishies, but prioritize not fighting outnumbered; if you are: move to team 2nd game -Cheater recall with Tristanas pushing power -Play around enemy CDs and engage with her jump once enemy used spells 3rd game -Hover your lane if teams act out cold wars over Baron. If something fails, you might be able to push and make them even panic recall 4th game -Use Honeyfruits for sustain to stay/fight more. They spawn about 6:00-6:30 in on walls to jng entrance 5th game -At about 1:20 ward Raptors where you can see up to the bush behind them; check if you can catch the enemy jngler there (Anecdote from me: if you know where enemy jng started, ward the OTHER of their buffs at around 1:20 and call your jng to collapse with you on them) 6th game -Same as 4th game 7th game -Push agressively if your entire team acts as low quality bait 8th game -Against melee: Attack champ, only slowpush waves ...to the best of Trists abilities since her passive makes slowpushes nearly impossible -Skill W 2nd against ranged and Q 2nd against melee. Reason: Against ranged you have to gapclose, against melee you need to peel them off of your feet with damage ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Runes/Spells: Against Ranged: Fleet/OH/Alac/Coup-Demo/BP---Flash/TP (TP to compensate if you get poked out) Against Melee: Change Fleet into Lethal ---Flash/EXH (EXH as utility to keep fighting them or get away at any gamestate) Items: DBlade/Pot with core being Shiv, BG, Quickblades. 4th is situational (mainly defense), 5th LDR, 6th MAYBE a Guardian Angel If enemy is too tanky for Shiv: Go Krakenslayer

I started using her mid when I saw the nerfs because i figured they werent doing it for no reason. Have only lost a couple of cursed games with it because shes so easy to play mid she has it all. Decent burst, wave clear, and an escape/long range engage with consistent damage with your autos to win trades vs most mages because you can just juke them.

Why do I feel like that every 6 months or year, we rediscover that Tristana is an extremely powerful and aggressive pick in Midlane with both strong abilities to trade, natural good push without spells but also is able to roam and is ungankable? I mean it's okay but it's like Gragas, always been like they are, but we suddenly find out they are strong XD I believed this was an old video when I saw what It was talking about before seeing the items xd

You forgot the part where tristana is realistically ungankable. Between w and r you have so much self peel that even if you don't see a gank coming its fairly easy to get out. This should also work in bot Lane, as long as your support isn't really useless vs theirs early like a sona or something you can get free kills pretty easily. Playing against it bear in mind Playing passive is annoying to Tristana and she might bomb your tower. If she does all in her immediately before her second auto on the tower. Her e is a lot of her damage, and she can't really proc her bomb while eating harass without you moving away from your tower. Forces her to jump away which can alleviate a lot of pressure. In general since a lot of her power comes from her e if you invalidate it by capitalising when she wastes it or you can force her to miss last hits or take nasty trades it sucks for her since she doesn't get the push as hard. She's kinda a classic trading pattern champ to beat, but I bet the reason she's strong is because even if you play perfectly its still an uphill battle and the late game doesn't get better for you most of the time.

Was doing this last year Two strong builds was galeforce combo with ult And believe it or not collector rush, extra gold per kills, lethality drastically increasing your damage against immobile mages they rarely will be buying armour and if they do they won't have mana to sustain lane to clear so it's a win win

Trist mid getting nerfed next patch. Don't think it undermines this strategy, but does make her more susceptible to AD assassins and all AP champs mid. I expect she is still very strong mid, but good to know once 13.16 comes out that trade back will be slightly stronger from opponents.

Yeah, I already checked out the nerfs. They aren't significant enough to impact this. To be honest, I think this is literally the strongest mid lane champion for climbing right now. The nerfs are minor and if anything, would at worst put her in the top 3 instead of top 1. For those who aren't aware of the nerfs: - Base health reduced from 670 to 640 - Base armor increased from 26 to 30 - Armor growth increased from 4.2 to 4.5 - Base MR reduced from 30 to 28 2 MR is nothing. It's the 30 base HP that's the biggest nerf, but she's getting a ton of armor. Overall, I think she will need to be nerfed much harder if they want her to stop being a god tier pick.

In the previous split I was hard stuck in Plat 2 until I learnt about Statikk Shiv Mid Tristana & went straight Diamond after 2 days. I can confirm that she is the strongest midlaner at the moment.

I really appreciate the tips and the content that give here fore free, but I think the mechanics and macro of a challenger player aren’t exactly the same as a gold player, so I guess it would be better to actually teach these tips (playing trist for example) to a gold player and see how he does and how he improves. i think what they showed in this video is pretty simple. just sidelane if tp is up and if not make sure your team wont be at a disadvantage at objectives. trist just auto attacks there arent any real mechanics other than buffering W

- OP strategy - mid lane Statikk Shiv pretends to be surprised honestly this item is fine in game but it needs heavy rework. give it the Sheen treatment. lower cost, lower affected minions to 3, give it practically 0 stats, then have it build into an item that hits more targets, decent damage during teamfights and then scaling

Yorick isn't comparable to Tristana because of how weak and bad his kit is early. There's a reason Yorick is hardly played top lane in the current meta. If you want to play around hard shoving lanes and taking tower plates, then Sion mid is much better because compared to Yorick he also has the hallmarks of a champion that is suitable for mid lane with good roam and gank potential. I'd rather have a Tristana or Sion in a jungle skirmish any day over a Yorick.

I love how every single content creator talks about pulling stuff off in low elo then they play in Gold and plat. Because they know bronze and silver are elo hell and you will lose games no matter what you do. THAT'S where the true braindead teammates are. The ones that will lose you the game no matter how perfect you play or how broken your character/strategy. But losing in Bronze doesn't look very good for them or their content.
