This must be a very classic burr pattern, my grandmother had this exact pattern in a barrel shape that was already old when I first saw it 30+ years ago,

Personally, I count it as the number of overall moves needed per piece to locate them in the final position, then add them up (careful not to double count steps that help one piece get in place while placing another piece vs. moves needed to get a piece in place.) But that's just me, and I'm by no means an expert.

Wow, this is the one my father gave me as a birthday present when I was a kid. I still remember how difficult I felt to reassemble so that I spent couple of days figuring out the steps I disassembled the cube. This one was the first burr puzzle I solved in my life. Over 20 years ago when I was 13 or so. I was very proud because I was the youngest in my family and yet the only one who came to a solution. I guess that was the day I fell in love with these puzzles. Today a Cutler Cube is one of the most favorite puzzles I own, but I still have this one even though I can solve it blindly within seconds now ;D

these are some of my favorite puzzles they are relaxing to build! They are not intimidating but yet still provide enough challenge to be interesting at the same time, every time you place the correct piece in the correct spot it feels fantastic :)

I had gotten this puzzle from a different company and was only able to remove two parts! All of the other parts seemed to be glued together. It’s good to see how it’s supposed to be.
