As the Sacsenhausen KZ camp was established the SS set up in a small forest nearby, a large vehicle compound was established. But I wanted to see the huge above ground SS communication bunker as one of the last remaining structures left of the operation there.
It could not be demolished by the Russians and have recently been opened but it will soon be closed again. I wanted to visit it and compare it to the Maybach complex bunkers.
The forest is full of remains of an area that so far have been little documented.
Just a little walk in the woods.
I continue to travel and visit the various important military installations around the world, so I can bring them to you. If you care to help out feel free to join me on Patreon. www.patreon.com/tinostruckman...

In the Netherlands, in the Gooi area, you will find an intact look a like house which is actually a command bunker too. It stands in a quarter and is thus surrounded by other villa's.

@@tinostruckmann Thank you Tino, I've admired your work for quite awhile, I guess since Brother's War. These real life adventures with you studying the ruins, is really in my element. Vietnam was my war but my fascination has always been WW2. Thank you for your kind offer. As a marine, I always wanted to see Belleau wood. I had an uncle who served there in the 2nd Marine Regiment in WW1.

Hi, I live in the village next to the Bunker on the Bunker were tiles, I know that couse my neighbors house the previous owner took the roof tiles off from the Bunker and put them on his house. The Russian tried to blast it and all the window glases in the village flew out. There are stories that the Bunker is 7 floors deep and it has a underground connection to the Klinker Hafen. I have been told the Anntena stayed on the Building 24:00.

Tino a place that big would have its own ‘dump’ somewhere nearby to get rid of their garbage etc. Also at wars end much would be thrown into it? Could be absolutely anything in there. It’ll be likely down hill, maybe in a natural hollow around 1/4 of a mile away from the site. It’d be worth finding and having a dig, being an ss site. Take a look around the area. Where would you have made the waste dump? It’s likely they would’ve thought the same way. 👍

One thing about WWII stands out to me. Have a revolution in France, the castles still stand. The odd civil war in Europe same most remains. Come WWII sure brutal war lots of bombs etc. But if it was Nazi in any way destroy destroy destroy it..evil nazi concrete. Its as if a older attitude came to forefront to conquer wipe out the buildings. Shame. For eg this could have made a great forestry HQ or council depot for trucks and so on. Hell if it wasnt blown up itd be intact and still serviceable saving heaps of money. All that being said, the AA towers, that Id love to see one still working. The odd pic, explanation, cant compare to how it would be to see all that great old converyers and machinary working. Best comparision is look at a steam train in a book or on TV. All pales into insignificance when you go see one ride on one the noise the smell

@@tinostruckmann It’s clearly seen Tino on how much you do in visiting these areas, not just finding out what the Nazis were at. Also the human suffering at all level to make these structures. They deserve to be preserved, as they have advanced science and our lives so much. These nations that these structures reside in, are erasing the memories and suffering of tens of millions of people. The very people who died in the Holocaust, are being harmed by government after government. These next two questions I believe need answered as urgent by European governments. (1)Is it the shame they want to go away on what happened on their land by their people? (2) Or are they complicit in the Nazi ideology, and systematic abuse of minorities Tino? As we still see today people, have to fight so hard for answers, and never get them in hope you will just go away! As a man who’s parents suffered state abuse and as I did, for 18 years also before change happened, And I’m sure you could guess where if you think about it 😭 On another issue or project for you I think might interest you as a diver as a WWII story.
