For Jews, Christians and Muslims the Temple Mount or Al-Haram al-Sharif, is one of the holiest places on the planet. These overlapping claims also make it one of the most dangerous flash points in the Middle East. Wrapped in myth, scripture and headlines, what does archaeology reveal about this holiest piece of the Holy Land?

Single biggest problem is Muslims deciding to build a mosque on the holiest of sites from Christendom. From a purely historic perspective, Islam violated the sanctity and respect of the Jewish Nation. The site predates Islam and should never have been allowed. It must be removed and the lie it engages should he admitted.

This showed up again in my recommended videos. I may have commented before. The "temple mount" is the leveled area that Herod built a roman fortress on. The quarried stone and stone brought from some distance along with the finest ceder beams from the mountains to the north, built Herod's temple to the south west of "the wailing wall". Above the spring in the are south and west to the only thing left after Titus.

Actually, as a Christian, I don't believe the dome of the rock is the temple location. I believe the temple was located next to this structure. And when you speak to a Jew in Jerusalem about it, they say they don't care because this is tradition! Wow! From Josephus’ description of the eastern wall of the Temple being anchored at the extreme bottom of the Kidron Valley - right at the very floor of the valley - we have strong evidence that the traditional “Temple Mount” (the Haram) is NOT the mount on which rested the ancient Temples of Jerusalem, as its eastern wall is located over half way up the west slope of the Kidron Valley. This is a critical proof provided by Josephus.

It's not just any arrowhead, it was distinctive to the style and construction used by the Babylonians. But all of this is beside the point to me. People want proof? Aside from the extensive literary sources, the greatest physical proof is the massive retaining wall built by King Herod to enlarge Temple Mount prior to constructing the second Temple. This retaining wall is today known as the Wailing Wall because it is all that is left of the Temple complex. Also, the mounted inscription that was outside the temple sanctuary was found on Temple Mount in 1871.

The dome on the rock was against the Christians and if anyone studies the book, they will see that they are commanded to fight Jews and Christians. Lying is baked into the religion so of course that man would be "confused" and keep saying he has respect. One hears that all the time in any debates with them. Currently the best place to see that is at Speaker's Corner in London, among other places.

If you really have to... then I want it quite large with gold pillars and stuffs. But do NOT forget to put my old tent in the best room or I won't be able to sleep and hover in my little cloud and then you'll be sorry cuz I get grumpy when I don't sleep well as you are aware... Isn't the whole point of believing in God also believing he has plans for everything? You should already make up your mind about it, is it a loving God or a God who demands blood to be spilled...

What did the Roman historian Tacitus say about a "spring of never-failing water" in the temple in section 12 of the passage below? He was a teenager when the temple was destroyed during 70 AD. The Jews Book Five (1-13) of The Histories by Tacitus 11. So after encamping, as I have said, before the walls of Jerusalem, he paraded his legions in formation before the eyes of the enemy. The Jews, marshalled close under their walls, were in a position to venture further out if they were successful and had a place of refuge ready at hand in case of defeat. Titus sent against them cavalry and some cohorts in battle order, but the encounter was indecisive. Then the enemy gave ground, and for some days thereafter fought a succession of engagements just in front of the gates. Finally, repeated losses drove them behind the walls. The Romans then concentrated on an assault. After all, it seemed beneath them to wait for hunger to do its work on the enemy, and the troops actually asked to be allowed to risk their lives. Some did so because they had real courage, many from mere bravado and a desire for rewards. As for Titus, his imagination dwelt on Rome, wealth and pleasure: it would be long before these dreams were realized if Jerusalem were destined not to fall in the immediate future. But the city occupied a commanding position, and it had been reinforced by engineering works so massive that they might have rendered even a flat site impregnable. Two lofty hills were enclosed by walls skilfully staggered and forming re-entrant angles designed to expose the flank of an attacker. At the edge of the crags was a sharp drop, and a series of towers dominated the scene, 105 feet high where the rising ground helped, and 135 or 120 feet high on the lower contours. (19) These presented an impressive appearance, and to the distant observer seemed to be on a level. There were further walls inside around the palace, and a conspicuous landmark was the lofty castle of Antonia, so named by Herod in honour of Mark Antony. 12. The Temple was like a citadel and had its own walls, which had been even more laboriously and skilfully constructed than the rest. The porticoes around it constituted in themselves an excellent defensive position. To these advantages must be added a spring of never-failing water, chambers cut in the living rock, and tanks and cisterns for the storage of rainwater. Its builders had foreseen only too well that the strange practices of the Jews would lead to continual fighting. Hence everything was available for a siege, however long. Moreover, after Pompey's capture of Jerusalem, fear and experience taught them many lessons. So taking advantage of the money-grubbing instincts of the Claudian period, they purchased permission to fortify the city, and in the days of peace built walls meant for war. Already the home of a motley concourse, its population had been swollen by the fall of the other Jewish cities, for the most determined partisan leaders escaped to the capital, and thereby added to the turmoil. There were three different leaders and three armies. The long outer perimeter of the walls was held by Simon, the central part of the city by John, and the Temple by Eleazar. John and Simon could rely on numbers and equipment, Eleazar on his strategic position. But it was upon each other that they turned the weapons of battle, ambush and fire, and great stocks of corn went up in flames. Then John sent off a party of men, ostensibly to offer sacrifice but in reality to cut Eleazar and his followers to pieces, thus gaining possession of the Temple. Hence-forward, therefore, Jerusalem was divided between two factions, until, on the approach of the Romans, fighting the foreigner healed the breach between them. The tabernacle was at Gihon when Solomon was anointed king of Israel. 1Ki 1:38 So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king David's mule, and brought him to Gihon. 1Ki 1:39 And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save king Solomon.

Jews have literally rejected the message of God even when all the signs were evident that first Jesus (peace be upon him) was a true messenger of God then after him Muhammad (peace be upon him) was a true messenger of God. U cannot pick and choose from the message God has sent. Just because u didn't like the messengers doesn't change the fact that they were in fact messengers of God. Who came for providing guidance.

I admired a lot the stance and comments of Adnan Huseini. First : he was reluctant to say yes to if there were a Temple of prophet Solomon ( peace be upon him) on the Temple Mount cause now the fact that even Jew archeologists , scholars says the Temple might never had been there. Second: True is that when the Al Quds , Jsalem is conquered the Temple Mount was a dumpster and was purposefully desecrated as such by Christians in a way to show vengeance against Jews and to humiliate them. When the Dome of the rock and mosques were built up on by Muslims and Muslims been prohibited to enter to Temple Mount without of having entirely washing themselves prior to entering to Temple Mounts Jews welcomed this and showed gratitude to Muslims rulers for seeing the holiness of the Temple Mount is restored again. Third : I loved the message given by Azeezi Huseini with the miniature models of Aya Sofya on the table front of him. 😍👍😍👍🤲🏿🤲🏻

I was raised Roman Catholic some of my best friends are from Yemen Egypt in Turkey. We have discussions about this all the time and thankfully it never gets into heated arguments. Muslims believe that this is where Muhammad ascended Christians believe that this is where Jesus was crucified Jews believe this is where the first temple was. The crazy thing is all the stories of the major religions tell the same stories and have the same people or characters it's just continuation as to who is writing. Muslims say the Jews never had a temple the Jews say they did and the Romans say they burned it down, to me that says that there was a temple or two because even the Babylonian text speak of destroying a temple. That's kind of hard to deny when you have two written accounts from major empires of there being temples here and being destroyed. It's crazy but honestly all religion should just stop trying to lay claim to this land

According to time dilation, where one hour on the distant planet equals 7 years on Earth. 168 yrs in 24 hrs. According to the calculation of the death of Jesus as having taken place between AD 30 and 36. In 2033 in will be 2000yrs since Jesus died. it will be 11 days on so now in distance space for Jesus. So is He returning after 2000yrs??? He must be in the same spaceship where Elijah too was taken up to heaven, another Kingdom or temple above. Also Ezekiel chpt 1. 4-28 description of heavenly craft landing. 😁😁😁

Have you heard about Jesus, yet? His name is all you need to utter. Ask Him to reveal the truth and He will. A hand on your chest, a dream that wakes you like a bolt of lightning, a word spoken in your ear. We serve an awesome God who gave His Son so that we can live eternally with God, Jesus and his Holy Spirit! You only need ask for truth from Him and He will show you. May God’s blessings be upon you and may this bug you until you simply say, "Show me Jesus."

I'm Muslim, Yes, the second temple stood here as was the first, then turned into a temple for Jupiter by the Romans then this was turned into a GARBAGE DUMP by christians when the Romans converted to Christianity then finally turned into a mosque when the Muslims got the land from the Byzantines. As far as we know the land has switched hands 3 times since the last Jewish temple was built. You cannot say because we used to own the land 3 owners ago, we deserve to have it back. That's like me selling my land and it switching hands 3 times and then saying because I was a previous owner I should have it back. It doesn't make any sense. If anything it's not even the Jews that were there first, the Canaanites and previous civilizations were there previously since the beginning of time. Is it the land of the Canaanites?? As far as I'm concerned, Islam has existed since the beginning of time with the first human Adam, who was not a practicing Jew or Christian as their practices, doctrines and religions did not exist at the time. Judaism started with Jacob's son Judah, Christianity supposedly began with Christ. Adam was a Muslim as he submitted his will to The Creator with nothing else in between.. if anything God brought the land back in the hands of the Muslims as the first human was a Muslim (Adam) and the stone upon which he was created is back in the hands of the Muslims who submit their will to The Creator. Also...Jews aren't even allowed to pray on the Temple Mount by their OWN RABBIS AND SCHOLARS as they do not want to accidentally pray in an area that is considered to be holy that only their high priests were allowed to step foot in once a year..so why fight over it??

Muslims believe Muhammad went to bed in Medina and in the night was transported to Jerusalem on a winged horse where he then ascended to heaven to be taught how to pray by Allah then descended to Jerusalem then got back on his flying horse all the way back to Medina by morning (sounds like a true story I don’t think we can doubt that Muhammad flew on the back of a winged horse 800+ miles to Jerusalem went up to heaven came back down then few back all in one night)

@Linda Leonard So how about if Jesus was a fraud and the jews were right? The gospels are written after Jesus lived, so the writers could make up anything, all the miracles etc all made up after Jesus. Note that there is no other evidence for Jesus except the gospels and Paul. If he was really remarkable other people, jews romans etc would also have written about him. But nobody else has. Honestly if you think about it…NO KILLING would of taken place over the tunnel if it simply weren’t for a foreign Muslims presence there, its they’re land and they’re trying to get closer to they’re God by digging and the Muslims think they have an actual claim to the place because of a fake mythical story of a journey that never took place. Its pathetic really!! if you honestly consider the islamic claim to the land .. and find it genuine!! To me..🤷🏻‍♂️ This would be the same as believing that frodo from the Lord of the rings has a rightful claim to the land of Ireland because he use to live in the shire… …( at least with the movies we actually have some evidence of Frodo’s existence)🤷🏻‍♂️
