For SMBX and especially SMBX2 in particular, it's worth noting that a lot of the fanmade addons for it aren't made to function properly in multiplayer, so don't be surprised if stuff breaks or only functions with player 1.

I absolutely love split screen multiplayer games!!!!! I also play Super Mario 64 split screen and sm64ex co-op with friends of mine. (Along with a few cool rom hacks as well) This video was really good and fun to watch while explaining how split screen is still fun to this day and I really wish more modern games can do this!

In my opinion that nobody asked for but are getting anyway, I don't like it. I'm not a fan of videos that go batshit crazy with the editing, have PNGtubers or things akin to them popping up, drag out the video with unfunny gags and just try too hard to be funny. They make the video hard to watch or just an instant click-off for me. It doesn't hurt to just calm down and keep things simple and still. Some may find it boring, but it helps in getting the point of the video across better without all this random shit stalling and/or hampering the experience. But again, that's just my two cents.

Creators who focus solely on explaining what the thing is rather than just insulting my senses with visual diarrhea and try-hard humor, etc etc. I have a lot of love for videos like that myself, Johnny2Cellos, NitroRad, etc. so your good man. Wario World co-op looks like a lot of fun! And Pikmin 2 co-op is wild! If you could play as Olimar, his wife, his son, and his daughter, it would be like Olimar taking his family on vacation to meet the Pikmin. That would be nice.

Another FANTASTIC version of SM64 is SM64 Co-Op DX. This version, although the name is lengthy, is (in my opinion) the best way to play SM64 with friends by far. In this version, you're not limited to 2 players, but instead limited by how many friends you can convince to play the game at once! There's no real player cap, it has mod support, custom game mode support, and every moment of it is a blast! I suggest anyone who has a computer to check it out with some friends!

Fun fact redigit was able to release terraria on Nintendo consoles and at first Nintendo made him change some sprites inspired by Nintendo characters but soon let him make them Normal again

Even if not splitscreen, Super Mario 64 Coop Deluxe provides a good online multiplayer SM64 experience. Definitely worth checking out. (Oh wait you do mention it, I should've paid attention lmao)

Ironically enough a day after this video dropped, Kirbymimi had dropped a trailer for a Super Mario Odyssey local multiplayer mod! I think it has both single screen and split screen coop?? I haven't tried it out but that's what the trailer seems to show!

Co-op is my favorite thing on earth, it gets cut constantly (Bastion, Tunic, Trials of Mana, list goes on) and underrepresented even when theres enough time and money to get it done. Thanks for an awesome video!❤

One of my favorite modders Kirbymimi recently made a Mario Odyssey Mulyiplayer splitscreen mod. It has a decent amount of bugs and is kinda tedious to olay without assist mode since falling into pits kills either player till the other dies or enters a new room, but it's really fun! Kirbymimi has also made botw multiplayer which is also oretty buggy, but oh I love it so much!
