Actually team drivers such as myself are paid one of the highest in trucking. My first year I did $120k. With 5-6 days on the road.

Currently in the process of getting my tanker and hazmat so I can haul fuel. Found a company that only requires a year of experience and the endorsements so I'm hoping I can get that job or maybe find another company that can pull me on.

@gill22 of those you dispatch for, grossing at and over $250k/year, do you know what they are driving? Are there any trends such as between power, fuel savings, or age of truck? The cheapest entry appears to be a freightliner, but cheap always comes with its own costs.

Seems like most line haul jobs in my area are over 100k. at top pay some UPS guys make 150k. Fedex 120k.

No they most definitely CAN and DO !!! UPS, yellow freight, few others, here in NYS where I live the guys hauling thruway doubles make 150k top guys, but anyone that been there five r six years can pretty easily do 110/120k.... I've personally made over 100k driving triaxle roll offs or lowboys here in NYC . ....now I'm a heavy construction superintendent and my triaxle dump guys get 50/hr. That's well over 100k w OT

Sat sri akal Prabhdeep! There are so many videos on KZbin with false information regarding the trucking industry that it’s hard for me to make a recommendation. The best way to learn about the field is through slowly doing the work as a dispatcher. Look at trucking news on FreightWaves, continue to watch videos from sources you trust, and just try to learn something new everyday while working as a dispatcher. That would be the best and fastest way to really learn the industry in my opinion.

You won't need a spreadsheet for that! Just look up the max capacity your allowed to carry for the size of your trailer and use that as a guide. You want to avoid loads that start reaching that max load capacity because they will be very taxing on the health of your truck/trailer and the diesel expenditure will be very high. But, sometimes, you have to take those loads when nothing else is available.

It’s definitely possible to dispatch in the US even if you don’t live here. I’ll probably make a whole video addressing how you can dispatch loads but the process for doing so is relatively the same whether you live in the US or in another country!

UPS Feeder driver $40+ an hour time & half after 8 hours we all make over 100k easy

No... not everyone is making $100K easy at UPS. Pay starts at 21 an hour with overtime after 8 and tops out at 40.50 an hour after 4 years. So 4+ years at one company to start making $100K per year which is similar to any other carrier. UPS is honestly great and I'm pretty sure they have a union as well so I would defo recommend it to drivers but, let's not exaggerate and say everyone is making $100K starting.

LTL drivers make a lot also. Maybe more headaches with management, but I've made over 115k a year for the past 5 or 6 years. Now is the time to get. Most companies hiring at top rate or giving bonuses due to driver shortage. Home daily is really nice.
