I’m a little surprised Ice Beam Mewtwo isn’t more popular. Zygarde, Landorus, Dragonite, Rayquaza, Lugia, Groudon, and Rhyperior all hate that move, and they seem very popular.

I have three Mewtwo at level 50 and one of them is Ice Beam Shadow Ball. Not having psystrike can hurt for sure but I have this move set specifically to build a round teams that I may not need to run that charge move and it works pretty well. But yes Ice Beam Mewtwo should be more common

I just need stardust to max my origin palkia. But when I get the stardust I will probably wait to get one with 15 attack. Mine is 14/15/15. I want to try and get a 15/15/14 one from a trade soon. I have Pokémon that are like it tho. Like my shundo Gyarados. I think Gyarados even beats it so I might run Gyarados on the lead and have a safe swap that baits palkia out

I would save palkia for safe swap since there are so many landorus safe swaps unless you have another option to deal with landorus. Also, lots of people lead Dialga so I would lead Xerneas.

New mechanic is something that started when niantic removed fast move denials like 2 years ago(horrible state of the game back then by the way) and tried to make the game more consistent. The game as intended should KO you if you are at 1hp and throw a move as the opponents fast move registers. For example you do a mud shot with your 1hp landorus and opponent throws a dragon tail. Since throwing takes a turn you should die always because mudshot+charge move is 3 turns and a dragon tail is 3 turns. But! The problem is that they tried to make it so that you can throw a charge move on the turn that you die when bugfixing the game. That mechanic is very inconsistent in reality and that why people are staring to call it DRE (damage registration error) instead of new mechanic. If you didn't understand I can reexplain!
