Hi everyone, Today’s video is going to be about the Himba tribe, The Namibian indigenous tribe or community. These people are known for their colorful hairstyles and beauty. They are found both in Namibia and Angola though originally from Angola.
Our journey started from Windhoek the capital which took us about 12 hours drive. We finally met the himba and trust me my time and your time as a viewer it is going to be worth it.
What we found on the village will make you want visit Namibia.
For KZbin community guidelines we cut out all the parts which may abuse the KZbin community yet they were the most interesting ones. But l have something for you on Friday at 4pm the same time l will post the one video about Himba again which will be uncensored. Stay tuned and enjoy the video

I spent a day with the himba people in northern region of Namibia. I tried so many new things with these lovely people and the experience was super great. I had an amazing tour guide Lilu from opuwo town which is the nearby town. Unfortunately l couldn’t show you the entire scenes of this tribe because of KZbin guidelines and restrictions. I am still writing KZbin to find a way to show the content to you. I hope you love the video. Thank you all

I also hope people are aware that the Himba people are the origin of the Herero tribe, whom the Germans tried to eliminate in the genocide of the early 1900. When the Germans arrived, they were trapped in North West Namibia, while others (Hereros) have migrated to the central part of the country, where grazing land was better... They are literally the same tribe, same language, same culture. As you see that place hardly receive rain, poverty is also very high due to drought. Poverty I'm not refferering to the lack of proper housing and clothes, as you see they are already well dressed, I'm talking about enough livestock. If land can be equally distributed, (areas that receives enough rainfall in the hands of Germans), these people can be relocated in their culture, we can preserve them for generations to come. Just wanted to enlighten that.
@dudy
@dudy 2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the knowledge! Oh… I did not know that the Herero and Himba are so much connected… like seeing it on the appearance they look so distinct! Why do you think they change so much?
@naturestherapy9943
@naturestherapy9943 2 ай бұрын
@@dudy I wish I could share a picture with you, how the old Herero women used to dress, it's very close to the Himbas. The modern Herero women you see today, were made to dress that way by the German colonizers, the dress evolved untill they beautify it to today's style.. If you follow their culture well, the Herero and Himba all lived a nomadic lifestyle, untill the colonizers disrupted that lifestyle, forcing them to settle down.
@dudy
@dudy 2 ай бұрын
@@naturestherapy9943 oh wow.. I did not know... but yeah... true... the dresses have some similarities of that in Europe before... But I thought it was just an incidence... You can drop a link to the picture here in the comment ;)

@@dudyThe German women were jealous and didn't want their men lusting for them. The Herero took after the Germans with being less friendly from my experiences, talking with and seeing, while Himba have it in their culture to find solutions and not complaints. I am very envious you have gotten the Himba experience. I am coming in half a year. Were you not tempted to have a Himba wife?
@dudy
@dudy Ай бұрын
@@peter-lb3ny hehe.. the temptation is high :D... You will have to resist, because they are really beautiful and the experience was really great! But I try to appreciate women and not see them as objects...
