@@nothingexists5066 The Fertile Crescent (Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon) was mostly made up of large states since the IIIrd millenium BC, Anatolia (Turkey) had large scale states from 1800 BC to 1200 BC and then again from 800 BC onwards. As for Iran, Elam was a large state in what is now Fars, Luristan and Khuzestan from 2050 BC to 1100 BC and smaller states existed in those regions from 2600 BC to the Achaemenid empire, which originated in Fars. What OP mentioned were regions that are listed in avestan scripture (thus similar to vedic Mahajannapadas), that make up most of Iran. It is probable those were countries and not states though, since no ruler is mentionned, but we know society in some regions (Bactria and Margiana for example in modern Turkmenistan and Afghanistan) cities were so big that it is highly likely they were the capital of some large state. India had city states like the Middle East from around 3300 BC to 1700 BC in most of the Indus bassin, but we don't know if those were part of large states. After 1700 BC most of those cities disappeared, Lothal was the only major one left and disappeared around 1100 BC. Then deurbanized vedic states appeared, but those are similar to how things were organized in Iran, since the culture was similar too, its only with the growth of the Indian population and the reappartition of cities around 800 BC that they started to be large urban states. I don't know what nationalistic bullshit they teach you but its not right.

@@nothingexists5066 The Sumerian city-states in Mesopotamia were older than the Indus Valley civilisation. The Elamite civilisation in Iran was the same age as the Indus Valley -- they began in the thirty-fourth and thirty-third centuries BC. Much later, the Avestan period occurred in Iran and the Vedic period occurred in India. The two are the same age. As @azarshadakumuktir4551 explained, there were states in Iran and other parts of the Near East similar to those in India. Your comment is completely and spectacularly wrong.

He (Chhajju ) must have heard how from Ghazna, Kirman (Kurram), and Barghand, I have extended my conquests as far as Darband; how I have issued orders for the shedding of the blood of my enemies, who have become like worms, when they hear the whizzing of my Kirmani blade; how, at ono time, from the heads of the Mongols, I have filled my cup with blood, and stuck their inverted skulls upon the top of my standards; how, at another time, my spears have wounded the Afghans, until the hills resounded with lamentations ; how, at another time, I made the blood flow in Janjuha, so that a boat might have glided within the hills of Jud. The Hindus themselves cannot conceive how full I have made hell. What did that ignorant thoughtless man imagine, that he dared advance his foot into my territory?' ["Miftah-ul-Fatuh" as translated by Elliot] As the poet was particular favourite of Sultan Jalaluddin and as his works were read in his presence, Amir Khusrao would not have made this hard remark against the Afghans, if the Sultan and his courtiers identified themselves as Afghans.

Afghanistan belongs to Persian civilization. Persian, Turkic and Mongolian meet in Asia. For example, Kazakhstan comes from a Mongolian Empire, but Kazakh belongs to Turkic. The Mughal Empire (he originated in Afghanistan, but he lived in India and Pakistan) is named after Mongolia, but he speaks Persian.

Islamic India: the role in the continual power struggles of different groups within the ranks of the Turkish invaders. Ethnically the Khaljis were Turks, but because of their earlier migration from the Turkish homelands they constituted a group quite distinct from those who had come into the Ghazni and Ghuri areas at a later time.

Although the Joseon dynasty considered 1392 as the foundation of the Joseon kingdom, Imperial China did not immediately acknowledge the new dynasty on the Korean peninsula. The rulers of Joseon sought to legitimize their rule through reference to Chinese symbolic authority. In 1401, the Ming court recognized Joseon as a tributary state in its tributary system. However, The Chinese tributary system was a largely symbolic Confucian world order with its basis in trade & philosophical relations between foreign states & various Chinese dynasties. Its relation to the sovereignty of some states was flexible & diverse. Larger states (e.g., Joseon Korea & Japan) enjoyed full sovereignty in both domestic & foreign affairs, & their international status cannot be considered 'dependent states'. The Qing government stated that "Joseon is both a vassal state and a independent state" when France and the U.S. asked if the war with Joseon would lead to an invasion of the Qing Dynasty, if the Qing Dynasty would intervene, and the nature of Qing-Joseon relationship. However, it was the position of Joseon, the Western world, and Japan that tributary states such as Joseon were virtually independent countries at the time. The Chinese tributary relationship was not a 'dominance-subordination' relationship, but rather a kind of 'patron-client' relationship that protected or assisted each other to prevent such a relationship. However, Qing, which began to turn its policy toward Korea substantially changed to a new imperialistic one where the suzerain state demanded certain privileges in her vassal state in the wake of Opium War, established a China-Korea Treaty of 1882 (中朝商民水陸貿易章程) with Joseon after the Imo Incident. The treaty stipulated that Joseon is a vassal state of Qing and the Chinese government began to turn its former tributary state into a semi-colony. Korea was became to a semi-colonial tributary state of China with King Gojong unable to appoint diplomats without Chinese approval, and with troops stationed in the country to protect Chinese interests. thereby the subjugative influence over Joseon by the Qing Dynasty was started. The political influence of the Qing Dynasty ended in 1894 with the First Sino-Japanese War.

@Respect-cp1ly with all respect, first civilization was in the region of Sumeria (Actually Iraq) where Zoroastrianism was founded. Where do you get that source ?
@alephd932 жыл бұрын
So Afghanistan was created by the incoming Indo-Iranians of whom the Nuristanis are the fathers and Iranians and Indo-Aryans the two sons . Indo-Aryans create Vedic Hindu society and Iranians create Medo-Persian Zoroastrian society. Eventually Buddist Kushan indoeuropean peoples from western china invade and spread buddism. Then The Persians invade and persianize it, the greeks hellenize it and spread greek culture, then it becomes a melting pot of zoroastrianism, buddism-greek and hinduism…before the Turks invade , and then the arab muslims come and the buddists give up but the hindus dont until the indigenous saffarid pashtuns become muslim and then all of afghanistan becomes muslim . The turks keep invading until the mongols come , and then afghanistan is stuck between the turkic-mongolic Mughal Indians, the Uzbek Bukhara and the Shia Persians, and thats when Afghan Bactrian Pakhtun Independence comes from. Ever since the Hotaks, amd Durranis and Barakzais rule afghanistan, the Soviet Union and British Empire arrive to make Afghanistan their own, they both fail and their son the USA and NATO try, and also fail to subdue the Afghan Taliban who wish to rule by sunni islam.

You almost got it right here. Another funny thing to know is that the Shahi kingdom centered around Kabul, both the Buddhist and Hindu ones, were actually Turkic tribe who initially adopted Buddhism when the Kushans ruled and then, through an internal coup, converted to hinduism.
@alephd932 жыл бұрын
@@JessicaHooks28 Its not PaSHto… the SH sound was adopted after the Persian leadership who changed the original KH sound which was hard for them and changed it to SH. So PAKHTUN becomes PASHTUN. and the word PAKHTUN is the original name of the people . Its what the Greeks call BACTRIA. they changed the P sound to a B. So it was called PACTRIA but im guessing the Greeks also couldn’t say the KH sound so they changed it to CT …so PAKHTRIA becomes BACTRIA, the land of Pakhtun or Bactrians.
@JessicaHooks282 жыл бұрын
@@ChachiMogo if pashtuns are indigenous well then Afghanistan was vedic then Buddhist then hindu. Even nuristanis and kalashis are dardic vedic hindus. The only time where paktha was seen in rig veda was as a darada group just like nuristanis. It wasn't iranic until acheamid invasion and persianisation happened where the dardic Hindus got iranised. Pashtuns are a byproduct of both. You can't find any zoroastrian evidence in southern Afghanistan. Iranic = zoroastrianic. It's mostly vedic Hindu and Buddhist references for southern Afghanistan which is were pashtuns are located.
