I'm an American and I am so jealous of all of you LOL. What a fascinating documentary, but I want more more more. Great job, and when I retire as an American archaeologist and historian, hopefully I can be a volunteer at one of these great houses. I'll even be happy to be a trash collector!

As an American that grew up in Europe I laugh when people think things are old in America.

There are countless very old things in both North and South America - but they are the ruins and remains of Native American kingdoms and civilizations. Since European diseases swept through the Americas after the first Europeans invaded, and those diseases killed an estimated 90 to 95 percent of the already existing population, there were not enough native peoples left to effectively fight back against the invaders. Europeans didn't conquer the Americas through battles, they conquered through biological attacks. And they destroyed most of the records they found in the kingdoms they subjugated, because they were religious bigots.
