My father grow up in South Dakota and had a very close relationship with Bear Butte. He has many pictures and stories of his time being with the American Indians there.

How was he linked to the Natives...was it though history...or did he partake in the rituals? I need to go to the place in 2028...but not necessarily climb it...I am poor with hts, but would not climb something so sacred unless invited by spirit guides. Are there rituals at the bottom, and how do I find out if I can attend. I was Lakota in a former life...and need to reconnect with my past. I have written to Chief Arvol, so maybe he will give me an idea. The Bear Butte is calling me!
