It would be interesting to do a long term experiment to see if some one can breed the teosinte into yellow corn again .

So there are 5 genetic mutations that make teosinte different from corn. What you could do is do backcrossing to get teosinte those desirable genes but it's gonna look like maize

History or typology? Where's the academic rigueur of this work? You're supposed to be an American, not third world school. Teocinte is mispronounced and misspelled.

Spelling frequently changes from time & place, your spelling was never used in college texts that I read in the late '70s
