one small detail you forgot to mention is when resetting, people started closing and reopening the game instead of just going to the main menu because if you didn't restart the game you'd inadvertently have a new game+ situation

We’ve come a long way since the start of Gta SA speedruns, very good video to show how far the speedrun community have gotten to lower the time. And a lot have changed after the lockdown for the past 4 years. It made me realize how old I’ve gotten because I remembered when under 5 hours felt impossible before they found out about dupping.
