@@AussieDebb First song just finished. My uncle played double bass with the Melbourne and Victorian Symphony orchestras. In John’s time? Noooo😩lol. If only 😩loI. I remember one concert in particular at the Melbourne town hall, it was a high school outing. I remember his music room. Looking at double bass from probably 6 feet away - NEVER ever allowed close or touch it lol. A lovely man, he was Hungarian, he, uncle Imre always sounded very strict. But his wife, my auntie Maisie was so beautiful, smiling, elegant and her perfume always smelled beautiful. I told uncle Imre how lovely she smelled. When she passed he gave me a scarf of hers with the smell of that beautiful perfume. I still have it. Sadly she had severe dementia as she aged & was in a nursing home, couldn’t speak, only garbled noises, heartbreaking. Uncle said, shhh to my mum and I and said listen. He started to hum some of Bach’s music. I watched her go completely calm and she hummed along to every note. The power of music is unbelievably beautiful. Uncle Imre passed a few years later. There is a photo of him somewhere on line - Imre Pallos Victorian Symphony orchestra. So that’s my story - so go to sleep 💤 now lol. Oh I haven’t even finished listening to your show - pass the popcorn please Deb lol 🍿

Oh, I googled him a little while ago. I was trying to find out the history/meaning of the christian name Dobbs. He looked as though he was having so much fun conduction alongside John, in fact the whole orchestra looked energised. . And I'd guess they never ever forgot that experience. July'24. UK. E❤

John like my husband came from England at 10 years old. They both think they are Australian and when John found out he was going to be Australian of the year he had 4 weeks to become a Citizen. My husband still hasn’t done this, he tells me he is Australian. When John finishes a concert he has introduced everyone on that stage. That Orchestra loved working with John and they had fun with him. Everyone he worked with was ready for the next time John needed them. John makes sure everyone gets to shine and he has taught me so much, that every person involved is important and they all have a name and a story. Thank you Deb and thank you both for your reaction.

What a wonderful video and series you have been journeying through. Between you guys and Deb, we a getting so much more than reactions from any of the other reactors. Most reactors just see the same few performances over and over. What you guys are doing is giving people a glimpse of some of his other amazing music and his wonderful personality. It is so good to see John gaining new fans across the world and getting some long overdue recognition. John has always been a very private man and has been very reclusive since his cancer operation so sadly i doubt you will get that interview....but maybe one of his sons will. ❤❤

The stage for the Expo 88 concert was set up over the Brisbane River and the audience sat wherever they could on the banks of the River. That's why Aussie Deb said people were there 8 hours before the concert because it was a case of first in for the better position, and if you got a good spot there was no way you were going to leave it !!! The atmosphere on the night was electric, and no one went home disappointed that night. But you never went home from a John Farnham concert without a big smile on your face.

First of all, thank you Paul and Philippe for these wonderful reactions, and thank you so, so much, @AussieDebb. I love it when I see someone who loves John as much as I do. I'm 71 years old, and I've followed John from Sadie to today. In all that time, there's hasn't been a day that I haven't listened to him, and his music still gives me goosebumps. I've been to dozens of his concerts. His music will never grow old to me. My children were bought up on Farnsey, and my grandchildren know his songs and love him, too. Even my very young great grandchildren know some of his songs. 4 generations of my family love him.

The First guy you said was 'Bob' wasn't, Bob Hawke is first seen at the 4:17 mark (side on view) and again at 4:53 (the grey haired man with red tie standing behind John ) - at 4:31, I believe it is John's Parents sitting at the table, (Jill, his wife, couldn't be there as she was only days away from giving birth to their 2nd son, and couldn't fly) .... - ebb - like the ebb and flow of the tide, - highs and lows, - the turning point. ... thankyou for reacting, and thankyou AussieDebb,

I would definitely love Fellipe to do a Fan Art on John, and maybe when I have finished the series leading right up to his last live performance in 2022, it will inspire him more. I would love for the Fan Art to be presented to John by us ❤. His sons may be able to help out. John is still not doing interviews or public appearances since his operation, but he has written his autobiography, while recouperating, which is coming out later this year. ❤ Yes I had 3 very young children in 1988, but those children learned to love him too ❤😂🎉

A distinguishing feature of John’s performances from the beginning of his career, is the credit and acknowledgement he gives the musicians who perform with him, and they often feature in solos. He’s had the best musicians support him. If you guys haven’t heard of it, you might want to check out his Main Event concert with Olivia Newton John and Anthony Warlow.

Paul, you saw an unfamiliar word here - “ebb”. It usually means the action of the tide when the water recedes away from the shore. When you want to describe both directions it’s “ebb and flow”. The actions of rising and falling can invoke a similar idea.

To me, it looks like the photo of John has been pulled forward and has revealed the next generation (little girl) and the former generation (old man) looking pensively out the window. Age of Reason lyric "And now that our fathers are gone and we've been left to carry on, what about the age of reason?" What are we passing on to next generation? This is just my interpretation, and I'm not artistic or very creative. What does Fellipe think 🤔 as he is the artist? 😍
