Only way I see the field getting lapped in Cup, Xfinity or Trucks now is if maybe rain comes out in the middle of green flag pit stops and one driver hasn’t pitted yet.

Don’t forget stages. They won’t all be a lap down for long.

What do you all think? Will the winner ever lap the field in NASCAR or ARCA again?

So you’re saying me lapping the field in Heat 5 isn’t entirely unrealistic?

your ARCA video got recommended to me and I love it!! I hope you're going to make more ARCA-related content. First idea that came to mind is about the ARCA Lord Frank Kimmel's 10-time championship era. Keep up the good work!! You earned a new notification squad member :) :)

Thanks! I really enjoy watching ARCA still, but it is just pretty unpopular. I will definitely consider doing a frank Kimmel video, thanks for the suggestion

Technically Ned's 14-lap win is the *milage* record, but not the record in terms of laps. He won by 22 laps at Piedmont Interstate Fairgrounds and again at Cleveland County Fairgrounds. Both races had essentially two competitive cars, and with Dick Hutcherson having issues, Ned won quite easily. I believe G.C. Spencer and little Bud Moore were the second place finishers.

Didn’t know that. Cool though that Ned won all of those races 😂
@seannolan98579 ай бұрын
@@racingwithjoe Ned lapped the field pretty often. Of his 50 wins, 31 of them were by over a lap. I haven't gone through everybody yet, but I'm pretty sure that that's the highest percentage in that category among drivers with 10+ wins. For comparison, Petty lapped the field 89 times out of his 200 wins.
@seannolan98579 ай бұрын
After going through everybody, I can confirm that Ned was the only driver with four or more wins who lapped the field in over 60% of his wins. Junior Johnson and Jim Paschal are the only other drivers who did it in over 50%. Special shout out to Gwyn Staley for lapping the field in all three of his wins though!

Nascar won't let that happen again

yeah the main reason that geoff won by a lap at north wilkesboro was an illtimed caution during pit stops. also why in 94 at bristol u only had 3 cup cars finish on lead lap and the 10th place guy nearly 10 laps off the pace (also his last career top 10). what made geoff's victory even more amazing is i think the whole field was only seperated by 10 or 12 laps without lookign it up.

Ya but there is most definitely type of motor in NASCAR that is beyond already dominating Hendrix motors with 7 wins compared to with 6 wins between ford and Toyota
