I bought that whole lotta love single .When it came out I was just a kid- didn't have enough money to buy the album - I must have played it at least 500 times up in my bedroom on my little portable record player.

Saw them at the old Masonic Temple ( Toronto, ON ) the, world famous, " Rock Pile ". Summer of 69 I believe or the fall of that year. Only 300 to 400 people. Sat in the upper balcony the only balcony I think went like a horseshoe around the lower level. Looked down on the band from their stage left. One of the most thrilling and dynamic shows ever. Thanks for the memories.

this was my generations music. i always get a kick out of people decades later talking about how zeppelin, ac/dc, black sabbath, aerosmith, hendrix, santana, grand funk railroad, etc. is "their" music. i had long moved on just as everyone else was just getting caught up, (the pathetic ones being my own age). there was tampa radio station in the 1990's that opened up with only playing zeppelin music for a week, and would year after year name 'stairway to heaven' as the greatest song ever.

It was an album of, mostly songs that didn't make it on to the first five albums, just to make a double album. Which was the style at the time.

Is the music played over this doc actually led zep? I don't know much past their fourth album, but I don't recognise any of this backing track... just seems to be snippets of generic live rock music...

Rock n Roll used to be one of my favorite Zep songs, but Cadillac ruined that for me years ago.. Page understands that keeping their music "in the vault" maintains it's integrity over the long haul, very thankful he is so protective of their library, it is after all the best rock and roll ever and deserves that kind of treatment. Page has always had incredible taste in every thing he does with Zep, and I admire that about him. Who knows what Atlantic will do once he is gone...

Page gave the license to GM, but I'm certain he didn't know they would butcher it into whatever it turned into in the commercial, that's why Page hated singles cuts because the music needs to be listened to as a whole, not saying you're wrong just saying Page is giving the music, for the most part, the proper treatment it deserves. Haven't seen anymore Zep music licensed since.

They say in this that there wasn't a band that wanted to play in front of them but they had Grand Funk as their warm up band and Led Zeppelins manager threw them off stage because they were blowing out Led Zeppelin.

there was only one Led Zeppelin, and there will never be another….and they were the greatest because of "magic" in their music, personalities, position of the planets, the drug culture, and yes the occult. but don't worry alot of things have association with the occult- including the U.S. government, the Vatican, and you name it, it's there.

Yes, "Nobody's Fault But Mine" is a standout Led Zeppelin song. However, it was long, and not too radio friendly. Furthermore, Glam rock was at its height, Progressive Rock was waning, and Punk rock was exploding. All of this, in combination with poor marketing, and a bad conceptual cover, made for a hard sell. So, what did I say that was the opposite of the truth? Remember, I love the album. This is not revisionist history, but just the facts in response to an earlier comment.

Presence is a great album; no doubt about it. The problems with the album are a lack of a stand-out song or potential single, and a very bad concept cover. Having said that, it would be considered a classic by today's standards if it were by any other band.

You're kidding, right? He's got a dollar more than God. I don't make any judgment, I'm glad he didn't license his music willy-nilly. Cadillac was the first company I ever notcied using his music. Come to think of it, GM snagged a lot of classic rock music - Aerosmith, The Who, Zep, T-Rex.
