I think the supposed inch of lipstick QE1 wore wasn't an inch thick layer but an inch thick line around her lip area. Since lead poisoning destroys one's face it might have been a way to try to replace the lips that fell off.

@captaintaylor24097 жыл бұрын
hoe Why do people keep saying that? Yes she got a sponsor but comments like these will prevent her from getting a sponsor from this company. I hope people realize that the company sees these comments and most companies don't want people commenting this. Go see heyparis video about getting sponsor.
@bncrfts7 жыл бұрын
Jknewsfann ™ Because Audible has been sponsoring only the best KZbinrs since KZbin first started. Getting sponsored by amazon, one of the richest companies in the world, is a big feat and achievement and SHOULD be praised and celebrated. It basically means saf has made it to the top of KZbin in such a short amount of time. Getting sponsored by amazon ENCOURAGES other companies to sponsor saf...
@hallieb33347 жыл бұрын
Jknewsfann ™ some people might not know its sponsored? 😂😂 she literally thanks audible for sponsoring the video within the first minute... Also, I doubt audible is scrolling trough her comments, they have better things to do.
@bncrfts7 жыл бұрын
Jknewsfann ™ Girl you're stupid. When a company sponsors a video they HAVE to disclose that it was sponsored, otherwise its illegal. Read a book.
@captaintaylor24097 жыл бұрын
Although she disclosed that it was sponsored companies don't want to see comments like these. I've had personally experience were I almost lost a sponsorship because people were commenting things like these. I have a large following on Instagram and people kept commenting "get your coin" or "get that sponsorship" comments like those could prevent saf from getting future sponsorships.

I actually have a push-up lipstick, and it still has the lipstick in it! It's wearable. But I wouldn't exactly suggest that lol. It looks like a lot like the second tube from the left at 11:08. It was my great grandmothers. Her mother, was a flapper. It's a beautiful dark peachy shade. I got it from my great grandfather, who keeps most things from his wife. I am named after my grandma Marion. And the lipstick still has its case. I love my family. It's all so interesting. I am related to some historical, influential people. It's just so amazing to see pieces of history like that.

That's really cool I've always loved the history of makeup especially after WWII because women always made up their face to get a husband because they might have lost their husband in the war. I like how when Safiya does sponsors it isn't the entire video. I have nothing against people getting sponsors because youtube IS a job and they do need the money, but sometimes people babble about their sponsor the entire video/ at a bad time.
@iBeFloe7 жыл бұрын
dexa101 Well depending on the type of sponsor, they literally give a script for the YTer to read off of & they HAVE TO if they want that sponsor--hence the babbling aka long explanation of what the product is. Game apps for ex tend to be lengthier. Anything sponsored is read off or posted as the script given. Even IG sponsored posts aren't their own words or modification of the script given. It's just copied & pasted.
@dexa66237 жыл бұрын
I know, but I mean most of them make that 90% of the video (like having a story that isn't worth making a video about, and the entire thing just being an ad), and they usually do it at bad timing.

Have you tried Besame cosmetics? They have period accurate lipsticks back to the 1910's and up to the 1960's or 70's. Other makeup too but I love their lipsticks! :)

I love their name" Besame", which means "Kiss me" in Spanish. Romantic and inviting...

I'm pretty sure the Victory Red replica lipstick she used was Besame, they make it.

Wow, you are a great documentarian. (I think that's the word). This was so interesting. I remember my grandmother showing me a tube of red lipstick and telling me this was victory red. I didn't know what she meant. But thanks to you I do know. It brought back a beautiful memory. (Granny let me use it when I went to my first school dance.) Cheers and thank you for all your hard work.

PLEASE DO MORE VIDEOS LIKE THIS!! As a more masculine woman, I've been wanting to get more into make up but find a hard time to take it seriously as I just see makeup products as another necessary form of commercialism. But this really helps me understand the history of lipstick and find it to be more interesting, worthy or consideration and not so vapid. You did such a good job with the research and presentation elements of this. Ok I'm done gushing now, but seriously, please consider doing more of these! you're doing a great job.
