Lol my Italian teacher gave my class a video from Professor Dave a while back to help us understand some things and now I just love watching this channel for the content and interesting facts (along with debunking conspiracy theories), thank you Professor Dave for making my Italian class tons more fun! :D

Fascinating to take a look into how the technology has advanced over the last few thousand years and then the huge advancements with electron microscopy technologies.

Please never change that intro. I really like it. There is one more request please make videos on corrosion and rusting(Chemistry) and classification of living organisms (Biology). Thanks

@@marman2372 Actually, Dave takes correction very graciously. He acknowledges and corrects mistakes (which occur exceedingly rarely in the first place). There were a couple of times I noticed an error in a video and I saw that he made a correction for the error in the description or a pinned comment. On the other hand, pseudoscience and disinformation are things that no one with integrity tolerates. I know this is hard for you to understand, but there are some people that care about science and reason, and do not entertain anti-establishment delusions that have no basis in reality and no evidence to back them up.

Credit for the first microscope is usually given to Zacharias Jansen, in Middleburg, Holland, around the year 1595.👍

i noticed that in this video, anton van came first than robert hooke, in other references, it is robert hooke's micrographia that influenced anton van at some point, meaning robert hooke mustve come first in 1660s and anton van emerged later with his own microscope, i hope this is clarified, =))
